~Toni

"Are you sure you're packed?" My mum asked me once again. I banged my head against the table, nearly spilling my cereal in my hair. My brother, Alec, laughed at me and in return and threw a cushion at him from the seat next to me. My parents thought I was going to be a boy and decided on the name 'Tony'. It was a shock when they were told I was a girl but they were so fixated on the name that I became Toni. Out of the three children they had, I was the youngest and the only girl. My eldest brother, Ricky, had moved in with his mate and now I was left with the most annoying sibling of us all.

"Mum," I groaned, "I have told you a million times, yes, I have packed."

"While you are gone, can I have your room? It's bigger than mine." Again, Alec received a cushion to his face.

"STOP IT! BOTH OF YOU!"  My dad shouted, looking over his newspaper. I knew instantly he was angry because he had used his beta voice. That was one problem with our dad being beta to Alpha Caleb, dad could get angry and everybody would know it.

"Sorry, dad." Alec and I chorused.

I ran upstairs and grabbed my bags and placed them by the door. Josh was in the police force and had agreed to pick me up as well as Roxy so hopefully he would be in his car instead of the police car. Hugging my parents, I felt a single tear fall down my cheek. I was only going for a month, but a month was a long time to be away from your family.

"See you, squirt." Alec ruffled my hair.

"Hey, less of the squirt, I am only two years younger than you. Love you, big bro."

"Love you too." We hugged and then a car horn peeped outside.

"That's me. Bye." I grabbed my stuff and ran outside, waving to my family.

Getting in the car (that wasn't the police car), I sat in the middle seat as Josh and Roxy sat in the front. It took four hours to get to the Regal Pack and frankly, I thought this journey would be the best......

.....Why did I believe this journey was going to be ok? Josh and Roxy had been arguing for the last half hour about music in the car and I was sat in the back looking to and fro at my friends like it was a ping pong match.

"You put all your rock music on in the car last time we went out!"

"Someone said that they would be talking to Toni the whole journey so didn't need to listen to music!"

"Hey, love birds, do NOT bring me into this." I sat forward and smacked them over the heads. Just then I saw a petrol station. "Come one, pull over. We need to fill the car's tank and I need to fill my tank."

"I'll come with you Toni." I heard Roxy say as I got out of the car.

Entering the shop, there was a small chime telling the people that someone had entered. Humans seemed to always have these on and frankly, they get annoying. Looking up and down the isles, I picked up a couple of lucozades, two bags of crisps, a chicken sandwich and three bags of sweets. I saw Roxy grab around the same amount of food but healthier as she said that she was on a diet.

"Will Josh want anything?" I asked Roxy.

"Do I care? If he wants something, he should come and get it."

"Roxanne Tanning be nice." I said in my best impression of her mother.

"Fine, fine." She grabbed a couple of waters and the nearest food to her and smiled, "Happy, mother?"
