~Toni
After the family's private talk, Daisy had officially joined our pack. At first, the pack was angry and wouldn't accept her. I could understand. This girl was mated to the leader of the rogues, part of the wolves that attacked and caused pain to our pack. However, some softened down as they remembered when she was Day Hawthorn, the sweet, innocent member of the Regal Pack. Those that had been injured in the fight forgave her quite quickly and once people saw this happening, they followed suit. Daisy and Max rekindled their friendship and I became friends with her too. She had told us that with the rogues, she had been the pack doctor so she started helping out at the hospital and helped our doctor. That really helped me because she did the check ups on my pup in the comfort of my own home.
Coming from training the guys one night, Daisy caught up with me after announcing she had just come from the hospital.
"Have you been contacted by your family yet?" She panted.
"No. Why? What's wrong?"
"Mia's gone into labour."
This made me smile. I quickly walked with daisy to the hospital to see my parents anxiously waiting outside a hospital room. Ricky was inside with Mia, my mum was standing by the window and dad was sat on one of the seats. I sat down next to dad and he smiled at me.
"That will be you next."
"Oh dad, don't remind me." I said, placing my hand on my stomach and looking at the bump that was forming. "Don't get me wrong, I'm excited but-" I was cut off by a whimper of pain coming from the room Mia was in.
"Let me guess, the pain is putting you off? You are strong, you will be fine." He put his arm around me and pulled me in for a hug, kissing the top of my head.
After what felt like hours, my brother came out announcing that Mia had given birth to a healthy baby boy, naming him Bailey. When Ricky had come out of the room, I had to laugh. My big brother was crying because of the birth of his son. Once he had stopped, he smiled at me and asked me into Mia's room. Seeing Mia holding her baby boy was an amazing sight. She was looking at him in awe and her beautiful blue eyes were mirrored in the baby's.
"Well that's one thing we should be happy about." I smiled.
"What's that?" Ricky asked confused.
"Bailey didn't get his daddy's looks." I chuckled.
"You should be nice to me." Ricky told me.
"Why?"
"Because.....well I was thinking....we were thinking.......no we hoped that-"
"We want you and Max to be Bailey's godparents." Mia whispered, still looking at the baby that was now sleeping delicately in her arms.
"Um..wow! I don't know what to say."
"Well, yes would be a start."
"Of course I will be godmother. I will speak to Max but I can't see why he wouldn't be godfather either."
I left the new parents with their so and went out. I talked with mum and dad for a while before going to find my mate. Daisy had gone shortly after I went in to meet my nephew and godson, as she had gone to tell Max. Now, I had to find him to tell him that Mia and Ricky wanted him to be godfather. Us, godparents. Life was going so fast. A year ago, I was the teenager third wheeling with her two best friends, but now, I was becoming aunt and godmother to a beautiful baby boy and was also pregnant myself.
Walking into the house, I was pounced on by Ruby and Roxy wanting to know about the baby. All I told them was that he was called Bailey and that he was beautiful. They wanted more information but I couldn't really tell them anything else. I then went to find Max. His sister had told me that he was with Daisy moments before I had arrived but when she had seen him, Max had looked quite stressed.
I looked for him in his office, the kitchen, our room and the living room. Max or Daisy weren't anywhere I looked and neither of them were answering any of the mind links. That worried me. I needed to find him.
It was then that it dawned on me. The tree house. Walking in the woods, I saw Daisy sat at the bottom of the tree, chucking a ball into the air. She smiled weakly at me and then nodded up to the house, signalling that Max was up there. Climbing up to the top, I saw my mate sat on the floor staring at the back wall.
"Max?"
No answer.
"Max? Please talk to me."
Max turned around. His face was pained and his cheeks were tear stained.
"Oh Max. What's wrong?"
"I am so sorry. So so sorry."
"Max. What's happened? What have you done? Why are you sorry?" I was really worried now.
"I've messed everything up. Don't tell me I haven't because I know I have."
"Just tell me what you have done."
He grabbed my hands and looked me in the eye. "Toni, I got you pregnant and-"
"Hey! Why are you saying that you have done something wrong? This pup will be the best thing that has ever happened to us. Why are you sorry?"
"I announced it to the pack when we have a traitor."
"What?!" I whispered.
He handed me a letter. "This was on my desk when I went into the office earlier. The rogues found out that you are carrying my heir from someone in our pack. The rogues are coming, Toni. The rogues are coming soon."
A/N- Hello. Don't worry, I'm back. I had a great holiday apart from the fact that there wasn't much internet so I couldn't update. However, now, I am back to updating and there will be at least one more update tomorrow.
