The Virus

Chapter Two

So I'm in the back of a truck high-tailing it with some strangers and I'm possibly going to get killed by these idiots. Why you ask? Because they are blasting their music and being loud. So I decide to do the only thing I can do to get their attention, I load my gun one bullet in the chamber and BANG!! There's the shot, down goes the music and everyone is out of the truck.
"Good now that I got you're attention... Turn the damn music down! And be quite. And don't say that IM going to attract these things because guess what? With you're stupid music I've already killed like thirteen of these bitches. So turn it down. Ok?" I tell them all sternly.
"Alright damn." One guy says. I only glare at him and he shuts his mouth.

After almost three hours of driving we're finally here to "sanctuary". I climb out of the truck and wait for everyone else. Damn these people are slow.
Once everyone is out of the truck we start walking to the house. And of coarse for safety reasons we're scanned.
"Alright so now that we're here  we can introduce ourselves, starting with you newbie." A blonde headed guy said. I sigh and tell them my name. "First of all don't call me newbie and second of all I'm Carson, Carson Drake." I say.
"Ok now that we got that out of the way, I'm James." He said.
"I'm Laney." The brunette says.
"Riley." A guy says from the back.
"And then there's me, but you already know me... I'm Nate." He says.
"Wait, Nate Adams? The star of the school? Wow thought you'd be dead by now but hey glad you're alive." I say.
"The one the only and that... That honestly hurt you know?" He says.
"Good. That's what you get for being a douche."
"Ok got it. Anyway we need to eat and I'm guessing you do to?" He asks.
"No. I'm fine. Being on you're own this whole time, watching everyone you know and love get killed and it traumatizes you, oh and trying to survive that's the last thing you need to worry about." I say. After I state a fact I turn on my heel and walk out. I'm sitting on the porch and a latter catches my eye. I set the latter up and climb to the roof. I sigh to myself. It's been a while since I've done this I think to myself.
And as if on cue a walker appears and stupid me didn't bring any weapons great. So I do the only thing I can do I wait the damn thing out. Just then he falls to the ground and Nate walks over so he can see me.
"Hey get down you must be tired. C'mon." He yells up to me. I nod and climb down.
"So where am I gonna sleep?" I ask.
"In my room. I'll sleep on the couch." He informs me.
"No. If I know one thing about this shit hole is that there is not electricity so c'mon you can sleep in the same bed with me. Just stay on your side." I tell him. He nods and follows me upstairs. As soon as I get comfortable my eyes start to shut and I'm asleep. And let me tell you that's the best sleep I've had since this whole thing started.
