Laurie's Pov: It has been two months since I gave birth to my daughter Isabelle and I couldn't be happier about my new status as a mom.
I am currently at Gma to do a post birth interview.
" Our Next guest won silver and gold at the olympics and won dwts season 23 and is a new York times best selling author and she has a new title to add to her long list of achievements and that would be mom, Laurie Hernandez" Ginger announces and I walk out
Once I was seated they started to ask their questions.
" You look fantastic for someone who gave birth 2 months ago" Robin commented
" Thank you, It hasn't been easy but my child is worth every extra pound and every single stretch mark" I tell them
" So how long were you in labor?" Natalie asked me curiously
" I was in labor for 8 hours" I tell them
" Did you have an epidural?" Ginger asked me
" No, I went the all natural route" I tell them
" So many people want to know what the gender of your baby is. Would you like to reveal it?" Michael asked me
" I Have a beautiful baby girl" I tell them
" Everyone wants to know if you are going to post pictures of your daughter on social media or are you going to keep her out of the public eye for right now?" Ginger asked me
" As of right now I have decided that I don't want to put her in the public eye just yet because she is only 2 months old but I also don't want to hear the opinions that someone else has of my daughter" I tell them
" What made you really want to keep your daughter out of the public eye?" Natalie asked me
" My responsibility as her mother and as a parent in general is to protect her " I tell them
" What is your daughter's name?" Robin asked me
" Her name is Isabelle Hernandez" I tell them
Soon the interview was over and I was on my way home to see my little girl.
Jelysa's Pov: I am at home watching my niece and we are watching Gma when Laurie came on.
" Everyone wants to know if you are going to post pictures of your daughter on social media or are you going to keep her out of the public for right now?" Ginger asked Laurie
" As of right now I have decided that I don't want to put her out in the public eye just yet because she is only 2 months old but I also don't want to hear the opinions that someone else has of my daughter" Laurie tells them
" What made you really want to keep your daughter out of the public eye?" Natalie asked Laurie
" My responsibility as her mother and as a parent in general is to protect her " Laurie tells them
After telling the interviewers the name the interview was over and Laurie could finally come home.
I went online to find a video of the reporters and the paparazzi outside Gma and it had something to do with Laurie and Isabelle So I watched it

R- Why are you keeping your child out of the public eye?
L- If you were in my situation and You had the paparazzi following you around always wanting a photo and it was your child what would you do?
R- Are you doing this to get more attention?
L- No, I am not doing this to get attention. My Daughter is not a Media Ploy. I am her mother and It is my job to protect her.
R- Are you going to raise your daughter in the church?
L- If I decide to raise MY child in church then that is my decision but I don't need reporters telling how to and how I should raise my Child.
The video stopped after that .
I am so proud of Laurie and her standing up for how she plans on raising her child.
