Val and Laurie: Baby Girl

Competition Proposal

Val's Pov: The 2017 American Cup for gymnastics is today and Laurie is competing. This will be Laurie's first big competition since the Olympics.

I am going to propose to Laurie today after all of the athletes competing are announced.

I am really happy and scared and nervous about this competition , But I know that she is going to kill it but I am still nervous.

Mak's Pov: Today is the 2017 American Cup for gymnastics and Laurie is competing for the first time after giving birth to Isabelle.

My parents decided that they would watch Isabelle and watch the competition on TV along with Laurie's parents. Meanwhile, I am going to be in the stands with Val and Laurie's siblings.

I am nervous about the competition and for Laurie but I am not alone, Val is Breathing into his hands like he does when he is extremely nervous.

Laurie's Pov: Today is the 2017 American Cup.

My parents and Val's parents volunteered to watch Isabelle so that Val would be able to be at the competition.

I am nervous about the competition because this is my first big competition since the olympics and I did have a baby 5 months ago.

I have to remind myself to breathe and that I have done this before I just have to go out their and give it 200%.

Jelysa's Pov: Today is the 2017 American Cup for gymnastics and I am a little nervous about this competition because this is Laurie's first big competition since getting back into training.

I am sitting in the bleachers with Mak's, Val and Marcus waiting for the competition to start. My parents and Val's parents volunteered to watch Isabelle because Laurie and Val don't want to put their daughter in the public eye.

Marcus's Pov: Today is the American Cup for gymnastics and Laurie is competing.

This is the first big competition for Laurie since the Olympics and giving birth to My niece.

I am sitting in the bleachers with Val , Mak's and Jelysa waiting for the competition to start. My parents and Val's parents volunteered to stay at home to watch Isabelle and watch the competition on TV.

Val's Pov: The competition started and the competing athletes were starting to be announced.

The competition is starting finally.

The national team coordinator came to get me so that I can propose to Laurie.

After a few minutes of walking to the floor we made it.

" It seems that we have a surprise for one of our gymnasts'" The president of gymnastics announces

I walk out onto the mat and I walk over to Laurie and pull her to the center of the floor.

The president of gymnastics handed me the microphone and walked away to stand with the other athletes and the coaches.

" Laurie, You are my best friend, My #1 fan and supporter , You are the love of my life, You are the one that I want to spend the rest of my life with" I say and I get down on one knee and pull out the ring box " Laurie Hernandez, Will you marry me?" I ask Laurie

" Yes " Laurie says in tears

I stand up and put the ring on her finger and kissed her

Mak's Pov: Marcus, Jelysa and I watched from the bleachers as the athletes were being announced.

After all of the athletes were announced the President of gymnastics said that their is a surprise for one of the Gymnasts'.

I pulled out my phone and started to record as Val walked out onto the floor. The president handed Val the microphone and went to go stand by the rest of the athletes and the coaches.
