The days goes by fast and Skye is happy to meet their roommates. She is in a room speaking to Marley, her roommate. Jeremy, in a different room, sulks as his roommate, Tetris speaks to him about how excited he is.

"So, we can't have boys as roommates?" Skye finds herself asking. She winces as Marley gives her a perplexed look and regrets asking. "I mean, Jeremy and I are like siblings!"

Shaking her head, Marley says, "Of course not! Why in the world would you want a dirty guy? They never clean up after themselves!" She sits down on her bunk.

Skye laughs nervously, but thinks about Jeremy. Did she...like him? "I know. Just...Jeremy likes to clean up after himself."

Marley gasps, "Are you trying to get rid of me?" She asks, pouting, "Is that it? I swear I'm not that bad if cleaning up...wait...is this Jeremy gay?"

"What? No!"

"Huh. Most gay people like cleaning up. Straight people, not so much..." she says, straightening her clothes.

Skye groans. What is wrong with these people? Why are they so nosy? "Jeremy isn't Gay. He's cute. I think I might like him....but I don't think he likes me back," she admits quietly.

Marley's brow furrows but she resists speaking just so her new friend didn't start bawling. A small smile grew on her lips."I know what we should do," She grins, devilishly. Her eyes glint in the sun and momentarily Skye is blinded.

"I find it rather tedious that you have something you want to do. I would want to unpack if I had anything to pack, which I don't..." Skye drones on and on. Her hair is matted messily on her head yet she make makes no move to fix it.

Marley giggles, "did you seriously say Tedious?"

Skye blushes furiously, "maybe...I am a little old fashioned," she smiles, "what is your idea?"

"Do you want to sing?"

Skye frowns. She hasn't sung for so many months now, she isn't sure she ever would again, "I haven't sang a song in so long..." She murmurs, looking away.

Marley turns away like she regrets asking. "If you don't want to...you don't have to. Just tell me. I'm sure you are an awesome singer." She says.

Skye sighs, "It isn't that. It's just the last time I sang was with my Ma and my Pa." She says truthfully, small beads of tears forming.

Marley's eyes widen and Skye knows James told her the story of what supposedly happened to her parents. "I'm so sorry I brought it up," she breathes, "I never thought...I'm so stupid!"

Skye tries to loosen up with a small laugh without a single drop of humor. "Don't worry. It happens all the time!"

Marley relaxes just a smidgen before asking, "are you sure you don't want to sing?"

"I never said I didn't!" Skye protests. The two smile before singing in a sweet tune of beautifully perfect hit notes.
