Reyna's P.O.V.

It has been so long since the car malfunctioned, I fell asleep counting the minutes. We still haven't left because Leo was "in the zone."

He'd be like, "I'm almost there.", or "I got it...almost." He'd been saying that for maybe 3 1/2 hours. Then, thank the gods a miracle happened.

It was close to sundown and Leo closed the hood, with a grin on his face.

"I fixed it!" He said proudly.

"How?" Nico asked. Oh yeah, he came back a few minutes ago, but no one wanted to ask where he was.

"Well, maybe not fixed, but I found the cause of the problem." He said scratching his chin.

"Well, spill it." I said impatiently, "I don't feel like waiting another hour or so."

"So I found that this car runs in a special type of gas that's rare here in the states."

"Please don't say the car ran out of gas." Percy said.

"It...did." We all groaned. "Wait! There's only three places where they have this "gas"."

"Where are they at?" Hazel asked.

"One is in Michigan, the other is in Florida, and the last one is in California."

"That's not super bad. California is maybe 10-12 hours away." Piper said shrugging. "Give or take."

"And, there's some good news." Leo said.

"What's the news?" Frank asked.

"Fortunately, there is another tiny tank in the vehicle that spaces gas in case this scenario happened. If it does, the car will run on the tank there until we can get more of the gas."

"Well, that's good news." Jason said sighing a breath of relief. Then, Leo began to crack up.

"What did I say?" Jason asked, looking at us. We shrugged and looked back at Leo.

"Ok, don't kill me, but I might've known about this already." A fuse burned in my mind.

"What...did...you...just...say?" I asked gritting my teeth. All of us gave a death glare at him.

"I said I knew about this about two and a half hours ago."

"THEN WHY DID YOU NOT TELL US SO WE COULDN'T WAIT HERE FOR WHO KNOWS HOW LONG!" Annabeth yelled out.

"It was funny seeing you guys look like that. You looked like dying of boredom."

"WE WERE!" We all yelled. Leo's face looked flat.

"..."

Piper rolled her eyes. "Ugh, let's just go already. We're wasting daylight here."

"I think we should crash here. Nighttime is really close, and we could start early morning." Frank suggested.

"Fine. I guess we could stay a little more." I said rolling my eyes.

It was about 8 or 9 when we all started falling asleep. Before, we were talking about random stuff when our eyes turned droopy. The only bad thing was that we had to sleep in the car. The first rows were like couples row or something. First was Percy and Annabeth, who looked squished in one row. Same went for Piper and Jason. I guess the buffer the guys were, the less space the ladies got. Because Frank and Hazel were together, and Hazel was barely visible. On the other hand, I had all the space to me in the back. Nico had the extended area.

And Leo you ask...?

We put him outside as punishment for knowing what was wrong and leaving us here anyway. At first we felt bad for this and was going to let him back in, until we saw his signature smirk, and a small fire appeared almost instantly.

"I hope you get attacked by an animal!" I yelled at him through the window.

In return, he blew and kiss and said, "Sleep well princesa." I pretended to gag, but I couldn't help but feel something warm stir inside me. What's with me?

All right I'll admit it...I used to-used to have a weensy teensy crush on him when he first arrived at Camp. I don't know what triggered it, but that feeling died instantly when he attacked our camp. Even though he wasn't really "himself" at the time, I still can't shake off the feeling that he'd do this again.

As I laid down on my seat, I couldn't help but think of that time repeatedly. Not the betrayal part, but the one where I first met him. But as soon as I started, I remembered that he'd not been only talking sweet things at me, but also, Calypso. Now don't get me wrong, I like her and we're friends, but I feel like she's in whole other league than me when it comes to guys. Plus, there's that whole "I don't want to ruin the friendship base." I quietly sighed in frustration. I just need to sleep this off.

I took one last look outside before falling asleep.

Hazel's P.O.V.

The next day I woke to find us moving already.

"Wait, how long was I out for?" I asked Frank.

"We left around 8 to get a move on. And it's like 9 now."

A rumble happened in my stomach. "Did you stop anywhere to eat?" I asked Frank once more.

"We stopped by a Burger King, but don't worry I brought you something." He took something from his side. "It's a breakfast burrito. It might be a little squished since it was at the bottom."

I kissed his cheek. "You remembered what I like." He blushed.

"Well, of course I do. We used to ditch guarding the camp entrance and head there for our break."

Someone cleared their throat. "Did I just hear that you two used to ditch your jobs?" Reyna asked.

"Uhh...nooo." I said casually.

"Doesn't matter really. I used to ditch meetings." This surprised everyone.

"No wonder you were absent on some meetings! You always used excuse like you were sick!" Frank said.

"What do you expect? A goody two shoes? I have a life Zhang." She returned a sly smile.

"Ohh yeah! Look at the sign." Piper pointed towards the "Now Entering: Utah" sign. "Goodbye Colorado. I didn't like you."

"Don't blame the state, blame the one who gave us the bad memories." Nico said eyeing Leo.

"I said I'm sorry! Jeez! How many more times do you all need to hear it?"

"MANY!" We all said at him.
