Robin's P.O.V.

When I noticed Raven coming back from wherever she was, I could tell something was wrong. She had a certain look on her face, one that indicated that she wasn't feeling like her usual self. When she sat down, she pulled her hood over her head and looked down at the ground; the guys were too focused on what they were doing that they didn't notice her returning. I was debating whether or not I should talk to her.

Then, I saw one of the newer kids who we met earlier return as well. He was the small, wiry kid who mostly kept quiet, Nico I think his name was. However, when he came back, he too had a somewhat confused and worried look. He glanced at Raven, but then quickly looked away to face any other direction.

Did he do something to her? I swear if he did...

"Ehm, I'll take the trash. Raven? A little help?" She looked up and nodded her head. In reality, I had nothing in my hands, but I escorted the two of us somewhere where they couldn't see or hear us.

In a quiet voice, Raven said, "I figured you realized something was wrong."

"Are you okay? Did something happen to you?"

Raven slowly shook her head. "It's really nothing to worry about Robin. It's okay."

I remembered Nico coming back right after she did. "You and the guy, Nico, were together weren't you? Did he do something? Did he hurt you?"

Instantly, her eyes widened and she shook her head violently. "No! No, no, no, no. He didn't do anything, I swear." A huge wave of relief washed over me.

"Then if you don't mind me asking, what's on your mind?"

She took both my hands into hers. "Robin. I really appreciate what you're trying to do, but it's something that you have nothing to be concerned about. Really, I know I seem unusual lately, but I promise you this will all go away soon." She let both my hands go. "Right now...things are a bit...hectic at the moment."

A recent memory started to flood my mind: a little while back, when Slade first appeared, he had an intention of going after Raven. It gets a little fuzzy in between, but I also remember seeing time freeze and Raven telling me about how on her birthday, something really bad was going to happen. But in the end, nothing bad did end up happening; it was over, done with.

I lowered my voice into a whisper. "Are you, still worried about Slade coming for you? About what you told me, of a bad thing that was to happen that one day we saw him again?" Raven looked down on her feet, fidgeting with her fingers.

"But it's over remember? We, well mostly you, took him down and that was that! Sure he's back but I promise that we'll get him. You don't have to worry."

She let out a sigh. "You're right. I was just worried about Slade. I think I'll feel better once we just take him down once and for all."

"We've all got your back Raven. All we want is to see you be yourself again."

"Thanks. You know Robin, I really appreciate you trying to help me. Makes me feel much better now."

I smiled in return. "Alright, are you ready to head back now? I'm pretty sure we've been gone longer than they expected."

"You go on first," Raven took a deep breath in and then out, "I'll be there in a second. Just need to get myself back into place." I nodded my head and went back to the table, where everything was same before we left.

Raven's P.O.V.

As I saw Robin walk away,  I felt the pang of guilt hit me. I lied to him so he wouldn't have to know the entire truth. So that I didn't have to get him or any of the others involved any more than they have to.
