I would want wings.
Why?
To fly.
But where to fly?
I would fly to see the stars, the sun setting down and there is so much more to explore.
Why would you want wings, wouldn't you get make fun of by peers?
Why would I care what others thinks about my appearance?
Why do you want to fly?
To fly away from reality...
Why would you do that?
Some days, I just want to see the stars from afar and want to close my eyes and feel loved by the night sky.
Are you in love with the idea of traveling?
I'm in love every second of traveling to far places, high to low, to the mountains to the city
The wings that hold me, it's helps see the world in a different way. The wings that keep me high and soaring. This is the reason why I want wings, the reason why I want to soar and see the beauty of the creations on earth knowing that I am one with the earth, this is the reason why I am running from reality, in order to expand my outlook on beauty. Why would I be the same after if I had wings, I would love to see the beauty everywhere.
~ A poem I written after I read "Wings" by Susan Stewart

Author Note:
So I wrote this poem as a school respond to a poem called Wings by Susan Stewart. I think this recreation of this poem is beautiful but I am looking at my old poems and seeing such beauty in them. I wonder why I never decide to finished them. I put a beautiful song by Birdy that haves the same title as my recreation of "Wings".
