A darkness filled my mind and I found myself unable to move. It was as though I had my mind but my body wouldn't cooperate with me. I struggled, trying to make any movement I could.

Several minutes passed and I finally felt my feet move slowly. My body felt stiff and it took me a while to manage to move my muscles painlessly. The last thing I did was open my eyes and when I had opened them I took in my surroundings. I was in a white room. There were three other beds in the room but only one of the seemed to be occupied.

"Hello" I said quietly, my voice coming out scratchy. I pushed myself into a seating position as the women in the corner glanced over.

"Ahhh, you're finally awake" She said smiling weakly.

"Where am I?" I asked blinking several times.

"St Mungos" A man replied shortly as he entered the room from a door I didn't even realise was there. He pulled over several things and began examining my overall appearance.

"Let me see your back please" He said in a straightforward attitude. I turned over and winced as the cold air hit my back. He had unraveled some kind of bandage making my back sting.

"What happened?" I asked.

"We don't know, that's what you should remember, we only know that you came to us with three deep cuts in your back that were done by magic" The man said blankly.

"Well, I don't remember what happened, it's all fuzzy, like someone didn't want me to remember who did it" I said quietly.

"Like a memory charm perhaps" He suggested.

"Yeah, no matter how hard I try all I see is a fuzzy, static like black wall. The last thing I remember is running down a hall and then it all turns black and fuzzy" I explained.

"Sounds like a memory charm, it must have had to be a student because a teacher would most likely not do that to a student" He said retying the bandages around my lower back.

"Well, if you remember anything tell us, we'll call your friends in to come and see you, they've been worried sick apparently" The man said making me wonder how long I had really been in here. I asked the question slowly to get a response I wasn't ready for.

"It's been two weeks" The man said walking from the room. That got me thinking until my stomach dropped. If i'd been in here for two weeks that meant the next full moon was scheduled two days from now. Before I could go to deep into my thoughts the door flew open and Lily, Marlene, Alice, Remus, Peter, James and Sirius all came in frantically.

"Jeez, I didn't die you guys" I said rolling my eyes and laughing at the surprised expressions on their faces.

"They said it was urgent, I thought something had finally happened" Lily said running over and hugging me. I watched as everyone sighed in happiness and after all the hugging was over they all perched themselves around me with expectant looks.

"What?" I asked confused.

"Isn't it obvious, we want to know who did it" Marlene said desperately.

"Well, truthfully, I don't remember, it's like, when I try to remember all I see is a Black, fuzzy wall, I was running and then its just blank" I said, trying to explain as best I could.

"Like a memory charm" Remus offered and I nodded.

"That's what the healer told me it probably was, we'll have to talk to dad, he'll know" I said finally. James and Sirius had disappointed looks which made me laugh.

"I was hoping to have someone to practise my amazing defence skills on" James said.

"Honestly" I replied rolling my eyes again, glad to have my friends back beside me. "Besides, there are darker matters to discuss" I said, my smile fading as I was once again reminded of the upcoming full moon.

"They'll think of something, you have two days" Lily said trying to put some light into the situation.

"Well, Dad will probably have something" I said, a hint of hopefulness to my tone.

"We can only find out" Peter added with a smile. I nodded in his direction and we moved the topic to a lighter conversation as I inwardly thanked merlin for my amazing friends.

I had been transported to the school an hour after my friends had visited. Madam Pomfrey had been informed on what to do and someone was going to visit twice a day to try more things on the cuts in attempts to heal them. But until a cure could be found I was told to stay seated all day, have a blood replenishing potion every hour and rest on it.

That did not fill me with very much hope.

As it was late everyone had gone to bed leaving me alone in the dark. I was just drifting off to sleep when a dark, cloaked figure opened the door and walked in. Unable to reach my wand I stayed quiet, hoping it wouldn't notice me. But it did. The figure walked over to my bed and I shrunk back, unable to see who it was.

They muttered a quiet spell and immediately my back felt like it was lit on fire. The cloaked figure ran from the room as I writhed around in pain.

Once it was all over I stared at the door, wondering who that could have been wandering around that late at night.

I fell asleep with the hopes and thoughts of freedom soon.

I know it's a shorter chapter this time but I'm finding it hard to update quickly and efficiently with all my assessments for this school term.

Tests are going to be the death of me.

Sorry for the quick chapter and thanks for reading,
