As I was closing my locker door, getting ready for my 3rd period, someone's arms surround me and palms of large hands are pressed roughly against the set of locker doors. We must be at school for 2 weeks in the summer in order for us be off earlier next school year. If not we have to stay until the end of June, if we take 2 weeks out of our summer, we can end school in the beginning of June or end of May. I turn to see Ashton.

"Ash, you don't even go here!"

"Your school doesnt necessarily have security guards."

"Point taken. However, shouldn't you be attending classes at your school?" I would understand if not every school had this policy, but I wasn't expecting what he was about to say.

"I dropped out." He says so casually that if I wasn't paying attention to what he was saying, I wouldn't have questioned anything.

"You what?"

He lets out a small chuckle but when his gaze meets mine again, he realizes how lost I am.

"Where do you think Luke is Jessie?"

"At 3rd period. Which is where I should be." I say throwing my bag over my shoulders but the second I started moving my legs Ashton stretched out his arm to stop me.

"Jess, Luke didn't tell you? He isn't coming to school anymore. He's dropping out."

"I beg your pardon? Why the hell would he do that?"

"Jess, we got this huge deal. People, I mean important people, want us to go out to London! This is our big music break! Michael and Cal dropped out too."

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Why would Ashton drop out of college? That's a huge waste of money for his mom and I thought Ashton would have a little more sympathy than that. As for Michael, it doesn't surprise me. School was never his thing but I mean, he could have held tight for a few more months to graduate. He didn't even have to go off to University or College after but at least graduate! Calum and Luke still had a year left here. With me. With Zoey. With.......Jacklyn. Michaels leaving Jacklyn and he's only been a father for a week. What a coward. I didn't notice that as these thoughts flooded my mind like a landslide that tears were forming in my eyes. However, the angry and disbelief in me was like a barrier to stop the tears from spilling.

"Ashton. If this is some sort of joke." I state sternly, which takes him by surprise because I've never been so serious to Ashton. He has never given me a reason to.

"Jessie....." He trails off.

"Don't." I shut the locker door and walk off to class jaw clenched and muscle throbbing like the tears in my throat.

Instead of going home I walk into a driveway 2 doors down from my house. Luke's house. I ring the bell with fury boiling in my veins. I shouldn't be this mad yet. He hasn't spoken anything about it to me. I should at least give him the benefit of the doubt. The door is answered by Jack.

"Hey Jess. Congratulations on the whole baby thing!" He states happily.

"My sister had a baby. Not me."
