Luke's POV
John Feldman had this one demo for us to look at for the album. The whole album is put together except this one song they want us to check out. It's a song called amnesia that the Madden brothers wrote and never found a band or artist that is fit. We listened to it and we all liked it. We were proud of everything else on the album so we will record amnesia and then the album is done and ready to be released. That's what the boys thought. I fell in love with it. 'I wish that I could wake up with amnesia and forget about the stupid little things like the way it felt to fall asleep next to you, and the memories that never can escape' To me it wasn't because I had amnesia and I know how it feels to want to go back to that, but more that your wishing for something that you won't want in the end. Like yeah I wish I could forgot about all the crap but having amnesia makes me realize that it isn't what you really want, yet I can still understand the feeling of wanting to forget.

"Ready to play around with it?" Joel Madden says passing me a guitar.

"Yeah."

And with that me and the boys put together a little acoustic version and I could feel through everyone's voices and instruments the meanings to them. It was something we felt very passionate about.

"That's it." Joel said in awe once we finished.

Benji continued saying "you guys are the band we've been looking for years. It's you guys man, great job."

"Thank you." Me and the boys all say in unison.

I should probably call Jess back. I don't want her to think I hung up on purpose. As the dial tone came on I waiting impatiently tapping my foot.

"Hey."

"Jessy, I'm sorry, album stuff. But as I was saying-"

"Luke it's fine. Really I don't need an explanation."

"No no no. I mean you never have to share me with anyone. When I sing and you hear me on the radio or wherever, it doesn't matter, I will always be singing to you. Not to anyone else. Other people are gonna say it's the passion I put into the song but it's not about that at all, it's all about who your singing to whether they're in front of you or halfway across the world. That can be our little secret."

"Luke when I said we were done I meant with the fighting not us."

"What?" I say almost so blunt there wasn't any emotion or sympathy.

"I never meant to break up but that's what it came out as I guess and what was I gonna do? Say 'no I mean with fighting' even though I started the fight? That would be stupid. Luke I'm so sorry and-"

"You love me."

"What?"

"And you love me."

"Well of course-"

"We may not be breathing in the same air anymore but we're still breathing the same Vapor. I'm still into the same drug, Jessy."

She just giggled and I could tell she was smiling. "Bye Lukey."

"Bye Jessa."

When I heard the beeps indicating the call ended, Calum comes up to me.

"That's a crazy concept."
