Chapter 25

A month later

Isabellas POV

The past few weeks have been miserable. I still don't have any friends. I sit alone at lunch. It's awful, but today is my birthday. I'm finally 14. I'm at my moms house today but she wont be home neither will her husband so I stayed home alone. My dad was face timing me.

"Hey honey. I just want to wish you a big happy birthday. My baby girl is finally 14." He pretended to wipe a tear from his eye.

"Thanks dad." I laughed. "I'm not going to school today because it's my birthday and I don't want to suffer through school." I said. He knows about all the stuff that's been happening to me in school. Like the fact that I have zero friends.

"It's fine but only for today. Well I have to go to work. I love you see you later today."

"Love you too dad." We hung up. He's picking me up later today because it's his week to be with me. I'm surprised Ethan hasn't said anything to me yet.

I spent the whole day watching movies, eating, and answering calls from family members. Still I got nothing from Ethan. I just ignored it maybe he was busy. My mom still wasn't home and my dad picked me up. I sent her a text message that said that my dad picked me up. She left me on read as usual. Doesn't matter.

"Happy birthday honey." He gave me a kiss on the forehead. It sounded like he was hiding something. He was acting really weird.

"Thanks dad. But I have a problem."

"What is it."

"Ethan hasn't said anything to me in all day. Is that weird or I'm going crazy."

"Maybe he's just busy. But anyway what did you do today." He changed the subject now I know he's hiding something.

"I watched movies." We didn't say anything else all car ride. We got to his house. He didn't go inside until I got inside. Weird right? I opened the door. I felt my jaw drop to the floor. Right in front of me is Ethan. I was still in shock.

"Are you going to hug me or not?" He had his arms open. I ran up to him and gave him a big hug and a kiss.

"Don't get too friendly in front of me." My dad said jokingly. We all laughed.

"W-what are you doing here?" I was still in shock.

"It's my girlfriends birthday. I'm not gonna miss it for the world." I gave him another hug.

"How'd you get here?" I still had so many questions to ask.

"You're dad drove all the way to New Jersey to pick me up." I look at my dad.

"I thought you were at work?" I still had so many questions.

"I lied." He said then laughed. I grabbed Ethan's arm and brought him to my room.

"I can't believe you're here." I hugged him again and gave him another kiss. This time we weren't interrupted.

"I'm here for the whole weekend." I squealed when he said that.

"Did gray come."

"No he's sick remember."

After we ate dinner with my dad. Then we went back to my room. We caught up with everything. We talked about Amber betraying me and how he's getting bullied in school. It was nice to talk to someone about it other than my dad.

"I wish we could runaway somewhere. Somewhere where nobody hates us. Somewhere where I can be happy and have friends. Somewhere where you don't get bullied." A tear came down my face when I said that. He grabbed my hands.

"One day we will." We spent the rest of the day cuddling and then I fell asleep. With my best friend/ boyfriend next to me.
