Midnight Tears

A poem for my favorite poet

Inspiration

Inspiration to me is my favorite poet
Inspiration drives me to write, to stand up and fight

But I wonder...my favorite poet
Do you see the world like I do? 

Is the water on the grass in the morning more than just dew to you too? 
Do you question everything like I do?
Do you find beauty in the dead mossy trees?

The world through a poet's eyes is so unique
Beauty and life crawling through every peak
And I wonder if you cry at night too

Not because you're sad but because a poet's words have touch you so dearly

Do you see like I do? 

Driving at night isn't just a get away it's an adventure

Every road has it's own art

Life can be many things
Creative, beautiful, confusing, a rush

But I wonder if you see the way I do?

Do you see more than trees?

Do you see more than lakes? 

Maybe it's just me but I sincerely hope I'm not the only one that sees

The only one that sees poetic words in the trees
Or beauty in purple bruised knees

I wonder if you see like I see

I wonder if the world inspires you too
Morning dew is more than dew
I wonder if you can see that too
