I'd rather not say goodbye
I'd rather fake it and live a lie
But I know of I lie none of us will be able to fly.
Still, I'd rather not say goodbye
I don't want to live a remorseful life
I'd rather live a lie
Why is it that I need to fly?
When I'm with you the world stops
Everyone and everything comes to a halt
Before you go...is it my fault?
Am I the reason you feel caught?
Like a blade of grass is holding your delicate wings down
If you can say goodbye so remorselessly, why can't I?
So as you fly away I ask myself...
Why must I endure these remorseful goodbyes?
