*Aya's POV*
I had to awkwardly go into each restaurant with all hopes up na sana someone will approach me, give the cash, and get this bouquet. But, after having gone through each, walang nag-approach sa akin until I've noticed the set-up tent somewhere in the middle ng Triangle. I didn't notice it at first kasi natatakpan ng crowd.
Curious, I went to see kung anong ganap. A guy was anxiously checking his watch obviously waiting for someone. Without a doubt, he must be Mr. Dizon.
Getting through the crowd was hard ha? But, for Php50K, I prepared my very big smile as I approached the tent.
"Excuse me Mr. Di-"
'Di pa man ako tapos, the musicians began to serenade us with a song. The crowd was already cheering. Basing on his look, he was also clueless of what's going on. 'Di pa niya yata ako nakikita dahil all lights are focused on him. Out of nowhere, probably from the crowd, people began to dance. Naguguluhan ako but I knew they had it all wrong.
"Uh-oh!" 😰😓
After few minutes, I was guided by some of the dancers towards him. Like me, he was also surprised nang magkaharap kami.
"Here's your flowers. Mr. Dizon, I think they have gotten it all wrong." pabulong kong sabi.
"You must be the delivery girl." malakas niyang sabi even if I was trying to be discreet dahil ayoko rin siyang mapahiya considering na ang dami ng tao with cameras around us.
Nakaka-offend. Not that I'm belittling my people's jobs ha.
"Oh, do I look like one? Then I must be! So, bayad niyo po sir."
He was supposed to answer pero wala na sa'kin ang attention niya. He looked worried this time.
Now I understand why his crew assumed it was me that he was going to propose to. Pareho kami ng built. Halos magka-height sa 5'6". And, we have almost identical outfit. Mas maganda nga lang ako. Ehem!
Mas lalo tuloy nagkagulo ang crowd. Our difference? Wala yatang breeding si ate girl dahil biglang sumugod.
"Oh, so ikaw pala?" at tiningnan niya ako from head to toe. As if on fleek ang kilay niya. I just stared at her.
So si Carl ngayon ang sinugod niya.
"No wonder it took you forever to propose. Sinabi mo pang ito dapat ang isuot ko? How could you do this to me?"
"Babe, let me explain."
"No!" with matching hand gesture asking him to stop.
Bago pa siya tuluyang nag-walk out may pahabol pa siya sa'kin.
"Bitch!"
And that, you guys, snapped a string.
"Excuse me?! Ako bitch? I don't even know your boyfriend to begin with. All I know is he owes me Php50,000 just to get you this fucking bouquet. I even have to deliver it myself kahit last minute order na and umuulan. So miss, get to your senses before you act stupid and pathetic in front of this crowd. And you," hinarap ko rin si Mr. Dizon. "planuhin mong maayos ang proposal mo. You owe me more than Php50,000 sa kahihiyang dinulot niyong dalawa sa'kin tonight. You both better get your shit straight."
Sa nangyari, I no longer care about the money. I just want to go home dahil parang magkakasakit na ako. I decided to buy coffee sa Coffee Bean.
Sa labas ako umupo at napayosi. Puno rin pati coffee shop. Pati rito may nagdidate. I shared a table with a girl. By group, if not by pair, lahat ng nasa ibang tables eh. Table niya lang ang may vacant seat. Sabi nga nila 'Share a seat; win a friend'. She's wearing tattered acid wash jeans, blue New Balance shoes, white cap, and white tees. May dala siyang denim jacket and helmet na nakapatong sa isa pang vacant na upuan. I can't really describe how she looked like kasi nakasubsob mukha niya sa laptop niya and kahit nung hiniram ko 'yong lighter niya, 'di siya nag-angat ng mukha.
