"So, what're we going to sing tomorrow?" Alexander asked.
"Marry You by Bruno Mars," Bert suggests.
"That's . . . a good song," James said, nodding.
"I feel like we should do it slightly different than it is," Chad said. "Like with two of us playing the guitar and one of us playing the piano. The other two could sing."
"Well, James and I could play the guitars," Aaron said.
"I can play the piano," Alexander said.
"That means Chad and I can be lead singers," Bert concluded.
"We'll all be singing," Alexander said, "right?"
"Yeah. Background singers," Chad said.
The other boys nodded. "Well, I'm going to bed. It's getting pretty late," Bert said, yawning.
"Dude, it's only seven," Alexander argued.
"I'm tired, OK?" Bert said. "Night."
"Night," they all said. Bert went to bed, leaving the others.
"What should we do now?" Aaron asked.
"Um, I don't know," Alexander said.
"Do you know anything?" Chad asked and they laughed.
"Of course I do," he said, frowning. "What's on TV?"
Aaron turned on the TV and flipped through the channels. "Not much," he concluded.
"There's nothing else to do," Alexander complained.
"I guess we could all go to bed," Chad said. "We need the rest anyways. We're performing first tomorrow."
"True," James said. "Well, night."
"Night," Chad, Alex, and Aaron said. They soon fell asleep all night long.
Soon, it was morning. Bert rolled over in his bed. He looked at his phone and saw nothing. He frowned but he soon put his phone down. He got up and shuffled to the living room. The TV was still on from last night so he turned it off. He checked the time. 6:52 a.m. "Nards," he whispered.
He walked to the mini fridge and grabbed a bottled water. He took a sip and sat back down on his bed. He really wanted to go back to sleep.
So he tried. But he couldn't. He could never go back to sleep after waking up and seeing the beautiful sunshine. He got up quietly and walked outside of their room. He went downstairs to the instrument room.
Bert looked around at all the instruments lying around. He picked up a guitar and strummed it.
He grinned after setting it down. Suddenly, he heard a noise behind him. He turned around to see Oakley from the Window Girls. "Hello," he said while his insides crashed together.
"I didn't know you could play," Oakley said, pointing to the guitar.
"Oh yeah. I can play a lot of instruments actually," Bert told her.
"Very cool. Sadly, I can only sing and play the piano," Oakley admits.
"Play for me then," Bert said. Oakley turned pink but nodded. She went to the first piano she saw and sat down. She started playing beautifully. Bert sat down next to her and he started playing as well.
Their hands touched on accident and they looked at each other awkwardly. "Sorry," Bert said.
"It is fine," Oakley said quietly.
