"Alright ladies and gentlemen!" Toby said to the audience. "You will have a couple minute to give your vote. You have to vote two bands off. Do it now."
The other two bands had preformed and now, it was time for the people to decide who would stay for the finale. The boys were waiting nervously. Had that song been enough? Or were they going home again?
The girls were wondering the same thing. They waited for ten minutes and Toby came back on stage. "I have the tallies all counted up. Who wants to hear who made it to the finale?"
The crowd roared. "Okay, the bands who made it are . . . the Window Girls-" The crowd cheered loudly at their name. "-And the other band who made it is . . . Total Warning!"
The crowd went crazy at the mention of their band name. The Window Girls and Total Warning ran back on stage, joining Toby. "The finale is this Friday, so set you DVR! It will be a two hour special, with interviews, singing, and more! See you soon!" Toby said to the camera. He waved and one cameraman signaled that the filming was over. "Congratulations guys!"
"Oh," Alexander said.
"My," Chad said.
"GOLD!" Bert yelled as they all came into a group hug.
"We made it to the finale!" Aaron said happily.
"I can't believe it!" James said.
"Nice job boys," Anika said as the Window Girls walked over.
"Great job to you guys too," Alexander said, looking over at Bert to make sure he was okay. He was looking everywhere but at Oakley.
"Bert, can I talk to you?" Oakley squeaked. "Privately?"
Bert flushed slightly but nodded. The two walked away, leaving the three girls and four boys. "She broke up with her boyfriend," Janelle explained.
"Ah."
"What would happen if they got together and then one of their bands win?" James asked. "Would they be happy for the other or would it be bad?"
"I don't think she'll date anyone so soon," Anika answered. "Her and her ex were together for a few years."
"Since high school," Braelynn added.
"Oh," Aaron said.
"I wonder what they're talking about," Alexander said. "Who wants to eavesdrop?"
"ME!" Chad said loudly. Everyone shushed him.
"Want them to know that we're gonna eavesdrop on them?" Aaron said, rolling his eyes.
"Oops," Chad said sheepishly. "There's food over there anyways. I can eat while listening."
"Make sure you listen well," James said. "You're the only one going over there."
"Me? Alone?" Chad said.
"I'll join ya!" Aaron said happily. "There's food and I love food."
"No Aaron," Alexander said. "We don't want him knowing with both of you over there."
"He'll obviously know if both of you go," James added.
"Fine," Chad said sadly. He walked to the food table.
"Bring me some food!" Aaron yelled.
"Got it!" Chad walked to the table and grabbed a plate, stuffing it. He kept glancing over at Oakley and Bert while putting pastries and more on his plate.
Alexander noticed Bert glaring at Chad and he said something to Oakley. She nodded, tucking a lock of her brown hair behind her ear. They walked back to the group, with Chad trailing. Oakley whispered something to Anika and she told Janelle and Braelynn. They waved goodbye and walked off.
