Battle Of The Bands

Chapter Seventeen

The loudspeaker crackled and Toby said, "I have a special surprise for everyone! Come to the foyer as soon as possible!" 

It was the night of the performance and it was really late. The boys stumbled around their room before walking downstairs. Chad was still in the onesie because he decided to sleep in it and keep it. "What are we doing here? I was sleeping!" someone said. 

"We have a special surprise for everyone. I will call you by band to go outside to see your surprise." The boys looked at each other. 

"I wonder what the surprise is," James said. 

"Maybe it's food," Chad said. 

"Dude, why would a surprise be food?" Bert asked. 

"I don't know," he said. 

"I would love food right now," Aaron said, looking dreamy. 

"I would like sleep," Alexander said. 

"Same," Bert said. All the other bands went and saw the surprises, leaving the boys being the last ones. "Why are we last?"

"I don't know." 

"Total Warning can come out now," a guy said. 

They walked outside to see a lot of people. "Bert! Alexander!" a guy yelled.

"Tad?" Bert and Alexander said. 

"NEIGHBOR!" they all said together.

"Since it is almost the end of the show, we decided to bring your families," Toby said. 

Bert looked around to find Oakley with a guy. "Must be her boyfriend," James whispered. All Bert could do was nod. 

"You guys may show your families around," Toby said. 

"Where should we start?" Chad asked, smiling happily. 

"Anywhere."

"Well, we could show them our rooms, the choir room, something like that," Aaron said. 

"Good idea," James said. 

"Which rooms do you guys wanna see?" Aaron asked. 

"The beach," Tad said, wiggling his eyebrows at Bert. 

"It never even started," Bert said quietly.

"What?"

"That relationship."

Tad got the memo and stopped talking. "Let's go to our rooms," Alexander said. "Follow us."

Total Warning led their family upstairs to their room. "At least its clean," Chad's sister said. "Unlike your room at home."

Chad faked a hurt face and said, "Cecily! How could you?"

"Well, I'm telling the truth," she said, grinning. 

Chad shook his head, grinning at his sister.

"You guys better be getting ready," Toby said to the five boys.

"Why?" James asked.

"You guys have an interview at 5:30 tonight. All the bands do. You guys are next. And wear something nice. You can bring your family there too."

"Uh, thanks," Alexander said. Toby left and Alex said, "He could've told us earlier." 

Bert nodded. "We should wear tuxes to look nice," he said. 

"We actually picked some stuff out," Cecily said, pointing to Tad. "Here you guys go."
