She slowly slides off his back, turning to face him. He smiles sadly, " This is going to be the last night we say "Goodnight' to each other isn't it?" Ivy was about to reply when her ears twitched slightly, but this time she felt a bad vibe. Like when you know its going to storm because the clouds are all dark gray and you can smell it in the air. She looks to Mason nervously, but smiles hiding it. "Actually, I wanted to see if you would stay? Like we used to do when we were kids. For old times sake, " she said half looking at him and half looking around for anymore shadows.
Mason sensed her unease and nodded, "Sure, but lets get to bed. I think we are both really tired from that party." "Yeah, " Ivy replies. Slowly the feeling of being watched start to fade. They walk into the cabin and down the hall to Ivy's bedroom where they climbed into bed and begin to dose off. " Oh. Mason? I'm sorry that I hit you earlier. I got carried away.." Ivy said looking guilty. Mason smiles at her, " Its okay. I've lived in this village all my nine lives and you are the only cat I have ever known to have such a explosive temper. Don't get me wrong, its not entirely a bad thing. But I forgive you. I wasn't really thinking about wheat you felt at the time and I'm sorry too." Ivy curls up to his side and yawns stretching her body, " Its okay. I forgive you."
Soon enough, they both fall asleep in each others arms.
Clink. Rattle. Clink. The girl stirs, lying on the ground. Abruptly she sits up with wide eyes, taking in her surroundings. Cold, solid concrete walls with no sign of an exit. One opening. A window with bars allowing a small amount of light. She lifts herself up weakly to see outside the window.-Clink. The girl is halted as she feels a tug on her wrists. She looks down to find silver metal cuffs with glowing purple carvings chained to the floor. She tugs again beginning to panic as she tries to reach the window. After several attempts, she gives up and leans against one of the walls lifting up her hands staring at the cuffs. She feels an odd sensation of fear as a 'clunk' sound comes from the wall across from her, just as a door shaped slab of concrete opens. " Well hello Ivy," an unfamiliar voice says.
Ivy had awaken with a star, her skin clammy and hair a tangling mess. She looked to find that Mason was still asleep, so she shook him awake.
"Hm? What? Uncle Cilas, give me five for hour-" He mumbled halfway asleep and begins to doze off again. Ivy shakes her head chuckling. She grabs the bottom sheet and swiftly yanks it causing Mason to flip over the edge of the bed and onto the floor.
"Ow. Okay I'm up. I'm up." He groans rubbing his head raising to his feet. Ivy smiles victoriously as she grabs her black long sleeve and jean shorts, walking into the bathroom. She throws her dirty clothes from yesterday in the bin and dresses. Ivy grabs a brush and then starts to work on her hair as she uses her tail to grab her tooth brush and brushes her teeth.
Soon her teeth are clean, hair is brushed, and is dressed and ready to go. As she walks out she finds Mason laying on her bed waiting. " Uncle Cilas wants you to come over to have breakfast before you leave.." he informs. Ivy nods as she grabs her suitcase and bag, "Alright lets go." Mason stands and walks over grabbing her suitcase as they walk out the door toward the main house.
