As she is finishing the last of her breakfast she hears a small knock on the door. Almost choking on a piece of French toast she answers with, "Enter." Penny pops her head into the door smiling, "Ready?" Ivy nods and puts on a pair of black high knee socks before walking to the door. Penny looks at her oddly, but says nothing about it as they walk down the hall. "So is King Xavier always that stern or was it just me?" Ivy says as looks at the picture on the wall as they go by.
Penny chuckles, "Actually he is pretty nice most of the time. I think its just because of the Shadow Scales and you coming here that's got him in a murky mood. I'm not saying that you coming here is a problem for anyone." Ivy's ears twitch a little at the name of Shadow Scales, but she dismisses it and nods. They continue down the hall until they make it to their first stop the kitchen where there were a couple of rabbit half-breeds making what seemed to be lunch. They smiled as they passed through and continued on down into what seemed like a gym where the two found a bear half-breed and a sparrow half-breed sparring.
Soon after watching the two spar, Penny and Ivy made their way back to the hallway and all the way on the other side of the palace, opening a pair of glass doors. They entered the garden filled with all different plant life. As Ivy and Penny walked deeper into the maze-like garden they begin to hear fits of laughter and giggles. " That must be Nova and Leon. " Penny says leading them to the center of the garden where they find a set of twins sitting on a concrete bench. Ivy smiles shyly and waves as the twins look up at her curiously, " Who is she?"
Penny kindly smiles, "Boys this is Ivy. She has come to stay here with us. She is from Cat Tail Valley." Penny then walks over to the boys, " Ivy, these are the twins Nova and Leon." As Penny pointed out the boys Ivy takes in their appearances. They look to be between the ages of six and ten. Though they look alike, some of their features differ such as Nova's ears, hair and tail are white as compare to Leon's orange ears, hair and tail. Also Leon has amber colored eyes and Nova has green.
Ivy holds out her tail smiling, "Well it is very nice to meet the two of you." The boys hesitate at first but connect their tails with hers and shake as they speak together, "Its nice to meet you too Ivy." They were all conversing and playing when a ram half-breed walked up. "King Xavier says that its time for lunch. Now come on, we don't want to keep him waiting." says the ram. Ivy had never seen a half-breed with horns before so the first thing that came out of her mouth, "Sheep."
Penny quickly interjected, "Ivy, this is Daniel. He is a ram half-breed." Ivy quickly notices her mistake, "Ah. Sorry. Its just that I've never seen anyone with horns before and I have a problem with keeping my mouth shut." Daniel huffs at her, "Clearly." He turns away and leads the twins back inside leaving Penny and Ivy. Ivy scoffs, "Can you believe that guy? I said I was sorry." Penny chuckles light and grabs Ivy's arm tugging her inside, "Lets go eat some lunch. I think we've finished exploring for today." The two make their way through the maze of a garden and into the never ending hallways walking towards the dining room.
