The days flew by since Percy was brought back from the dead. Things have mostly returned to normal. The light in Annabeth's eyes shone once again, and all was well.
But was it really?
Hazel has been acting different, as if every move she made was painful. Her personality had changed as well, like she was constantly being drained. No one else had seemed to notice, as they were all focused on the fact that Percy Jackson had returned.
No one else, except Nico.
Nico noticed something was up right away since Hazel had returned from her meeting with Anastasi, but she never spoke about it. Whenever Nico tried to question her about that day, he can sense her mental shields going up, and she changes the subject.
But Nico won't stop, he can't lose another sister, not again.
(A/N this is not the end.)
