POV~~ Allison
"Ally time to get up for school you don't want to be late!"
"Ughh why, I don't want to go."
As I roll over out of bed the sun hits my eyes
"Ahh! Who opened my curtains?" I ask to myself knowing I left them open last night.
"By the way, one of my friend's son is going to pick you up for school and drive you home every day since I have to be at work." She comments.
"WHAT A BOY! Your joking right?" I say as I enter the kitchen.
"No hun I'm not, you have to go with him." She says. "And there is NO way that you are walking to school; it's a dangerous city, and plus you will get to know someone who lives around the neighborhood." She states making sure I know there is no way around it.
"What about the bus or the subway?" I ask
"It costs money that we don't have so no."
"Fine I'll go, what's his name?"I ask
"His name is Rick Warren, be nice to him. I know it's hard for you to trust him but he is a nice boy; nothing like your-"
"Stop! We do not say that name in the house; deal?" I ask knowing she will agree.
She nods
"Okay Ally, breakfast is on the table. I have to go to work now but I will see you later." She says as she kisses me on the forehead and grabs her keys from the counter. "I left money on the counter for dinner, it's a late day at work for me. Order whatever you want okay?"
"Okay, mom be safe, love you!" I say as I start munching on the delicious eggs that my mom made for me.
Ugh, a boy, a no-good dirty boy. I better get ready, mom never told me what time he was gonna pick me up so I better hurry.
I run to my room and grab the nicest thing I have hoping it won't grab anyone's attention. I then rush to the bathroom to freshen up and put some makeup on and get ready to face the day. I grab my backpack from my closet and then I look at my phone to see the time, 7:20. My jaw drops.
I'm supposed to be in school in ten minutes we are never going to make it in time. I'm going to be in trouble on the first day, this is why I never should rely on a boy; they are always late.
Ding dong
"Oh, thank goodness he's finally here." As I open up the door I prepare myself for what's on the other side. I jump a little from surprise as a husky voice comes out of nowhere.
"Hey I'm Rick, your Allison right?"
