POV~ Allison

"It's your father?! what the hell is he doing here?" Rick asks me as I slide to the floor.

"I-I don't know, we never told him where we lived " I state shaking from the shock of my father's sudden reappearance.

"Do you want to go inside?"

"Not yet let's just listen," I say as I stand up and put my ear against the door.

D-Where the hell is my daughter Kelly? You can't take her away from me!

M-You have no right to come into my house, Clark!  She is not here and she doesn't want to see you!

D- I don't care what she wants, she is my own flesh and blood! What is she doing out so late?

I hear that my father is slurring his words and realize that he is drunk. He also never raises his voice unless he is drunk. I make a gesture to Rick to tell him this, he nods in response.

M- I'm not sure where she is. But I know she is safe, she is with her boyfriend.

D- How come I didn't know about her boyfriend?

M- Because you don't deserve to know anything about your daughter. you don't understand how hurt she once was. Now when she finally has gotten over you and moved on you come back and try to be her father again? No, that's not how it works. I advise you to leave now before I call the police.

D-  Fine. But I will be back for my daughter. And next time I won't give up so easily.

As my father's heavy footsteps get closer to the door I panic and freeze in place.

The second the door opens I get a strong scent of alcohol. He sees me standing in front of him and a look of realization washes onto his face. He grabs my wrist and squeezes it. He chuckles to himself.

Rick who moved away from the door now starts to storm towards me and my father. But my father is too quick and kicks him in the stomach hard and he topples over. I scream his name and start to cry. What am I going to do now? I hear my mother gasp from the doorway. I turn my head to look at her and horror was written all over her face.

My father's face gets so close to mine that I become dizzy from the smell of alcohol. He whispers into my ear. "Nice to see you, princess." I cringe at the nickname that used to make me smile.

I try to release myself from his grip but I can't. He yells at my mother to stay back and I start to cry. He starts to drag me to the elevator when I get an idea. I sink my teeth into his dry skin, he yelps in pain and releases his grip just enough for me to break free. As he examines his arm for blood I punch him in the face with all I got. He falls to the ground from my hit and from the alcohol that is in his system.

I run to Rick's side then look at my mom.

"Call the police right now," I demand. She nods her head and runs inside.

I help Rick sit up. Then give him a big embrace as I start to cry into his shoulder.

"That was amazing. You knocked him down good," he whispers into my ear. "I'm sorry I couldn't help. How is your wrist, does it hurt?"

"It hurts a little bit but I'll be fine. But are you okay?" I ask as I rub my wrist.

"I'm perfectly fine, watch this I could totally stand," he grunts as he tries to get up but then sits back down. "I guess I cant." I smile at his failed attempt to show me he is okay.

"I feel horrible. I don't want you to get hurt because of me."

"Hey, I would take a bullet for you, Allison. I would do anything to protect you, I promise. If anything happened to you I wouldn't know what to do with myself." He frowns.

He brushes the tears off my face. "I love you so much."

I kiss his soft lips gently "I love you too." He wraps me into his arms as we hear the police sirens approaching the apartment building.
