"Isn't this wonderful!" Theresa exclaimed.
"It's amazing." I said smiling. I was holding Ashton's hand and we were checking out the beach that Theresa wanted us to get married on. "What do you think Ashton?"
"I like it. It's really nice."
"Alright! And we've already decided the date right?"
"Yeah, July 27th."
"It's going to be warm."
"It had better be a short ceremony. I don't care if it's hot or not. I'm not standing up there for an hour." I declared. I've been to weddings before that were so long I thought I would die, so to compensate I'm going to have a short wedding.
To tell you the truth I don't care how the wedding goes. All I care about is that it's official and Ashton has no hope of escape. That he's stuck with me forever!
"Okay, it'll be short. Now let me go secure this place for July 27th then we'll go on our first dress shopping run."
"Sounds good."
She walked away and left Ashton and I there. "So are you really ready to be stuck with me?" I asked.
He smiled down at me. "I asked didn't I? And I haven't backed out yet."
"Well I just want you to be sure. I don't want a husband that is never around and lying or something."
"It hurts that you think I would do that. I love you baby! And I always will."
I laughed and he kissed me. "Well that's good to know right before we get married."
"Alright you two! Let's get going! Ashton you go home; Brooke and I are going to meet Monica and Jen at the dress shop!"
"Okay." Ashton kissed me on the cheek and went to his car.
I went with Theresa and we drove to the dress shop. Jen and Monica were already in there discussing things.
"Hey!" Jen said hugging me. "Ready?"
"As I'll ever be."
After a couple minutes I got my dressing room and my first couple of dresses to try on. We told the lady that it was going to be on a beach so it can't be like a ball gown or anything super fancy, but it has to be nice.
I tried on the first one and it was okay.
I went out and stood on the stool in front of the mirror and my ladies. "What do you think?" I asked them.
"I like it." Monica said. It was long, spaghetti strapped, and it ruffled near the top and as it went down it became smoother. It had a pretty embroidery on the waist.
"I don't know." I said.
One of the sales ladies cut in. "If you don't like it at first than it's not your dress. You know when you have the right dress and this obviously isn't it."
"Yeah, you're right." I said.
I got down and tried on the next one. It was more ball gown-like so that one got voted off pretty fast. I tried on dress after dress after dress. We were just about to call it a day and try again some other time when I found it. My dress. The one I've been looking for.
It was similar to the first one only silk and the embroidery was on the chest. It flowed down around my figure perfectly. It was amazing.
I walked out and they all gasped. I smiled. "This is the one."
