*Drake's P.O.V.*
As I was about to leave Slice Of Heaven Pizzeria I heard Abi, a.k.a the girl who answers the calls and also one of my closest friends, talking to someone on the phone.
"Yeah... Aha... So, one ham and cheese and one pepperoni with stuffed crust, delivered to twenty-one Cedar Street, right?" she asked through the phone. My ears perked up once hearing the address of the receiver. "Oh, yeah, a big bottle of Coca Cola too," she quickly added. "Your pizzas will be delivered in about," she punched some buttons on her computer, "Fifteen minutes. Thank you for your order."
Taking that as my cue to step in, I walked towards Abi.
Once noticing my presence she smiled and waved at me. "Are you leaving?" she asked.
"Well, I was about to, but I don't mind delivering one last pizza," I shrugged, not wanting to sound too eager. I didn't want them to find out about her.
"It's okay, don't worry. Spencer can take over," she pointed towards a guy who had just gotten into the restaurant.
Spencer was a new delivery guy for the summer like me. He usually worked at noon, just when the restaurant opened, but today he had probably changed shifts with another guy.
"No, really. I will do it," I insisted. So much for keeping it cool...
"Your shift is over, you silly. Just go home already," she rolled her eyes playfully.
"What's wrong?" Spencer asked Abi, looking at me from the corner of his eye.
"Oh, nothing," Abi giggled. "Drake here wants to deliver this pizza before leaving, but I told him you can do it."
The guy shrugged. "Sure."
"But I want to do it," I said now a little louder. Spencer must have noticed how persistent I was as smirked.
"It's my shift, man," he challenged me.
"I said I'll do it." I said and punched his shoulder.
Abi jumped a little and let out a small whimper. The little bell rang, signalling the readiness of the order.
I quickly grabbed both boxes, the receipt and the bottle of Coca Cola included in the order and run to my bike. Both Spencer and Abi were yelling at me, but I was fast gone.
Why am I even doing this?
I mean it's not like I know anything about that girl. She was cute, yes. But I still have no idea why I want to meet her again that much.
Starting the engine of the bike, I took the road towards a familiar-looking destination. Turning left in Cedar Street, I looked out for a pale gray house. Once noticing it, I lowered the speed of the bike and brought it to a stop.
Grabbing the pizzas, I quickly got to the door and pressed the small button right next to it.
It didn't take long for me to hear footsteps approaching. There was jingling of keys and then a creaking sound of the door opening before a male figure appeared in front of me.
"Good evening, sir," I tried to sound as normal as possible. "Your order," I stated, handing him the twin boxes of pizza.
He thanked me by nodding his head, and searched his pockets for the money.
"Shoot, I forgot it inside," he slapped his forehead. "Leslie!"
So that's her name!
Stop it.
A blonde girl came quickly at the door and handed the man a twenty dollar bill. She didn't look like the girl I had seen the previous time, nor was she even familiar-looking. The sure thing was that she was eyeing me up and down.
My eyes averted to the number sign. This was the house, for sure, but where was she?
"Wasn't it another girl living here?" the words left my mouth before even realizing it. The man nodded, handing me the money.
"That must have been my daught-" he cut off. He furrowed his eyebrows while his hands found their way on either of his sides. "But why do you care?" he challenged me.
"U-um..." I stuttered. "I-I was just curious," I tried to fake a nonchalant shrug.
Note the word 'tried'.
"You know what they say," it was now the girl who spoke, "Curiosity killed the cat," she wiggled her eyebrows.
"But satisfaction brought it back," I smirked, confident again. The father glared at me one more time and shut the door on my face.
Throwing one last glance at the doorbell, I made a note in my brain with the title Leslie Ricci and left in satisfaction.

"Were you seriously chatting with the delivery boy?" I asked Mia once she and my dad walked into the living room.
"Look who's talking," she mumbled and wiggled her eyebrows without my dad noticing.
After that, we ate, having a small conversation going. Dad asked us about our plans for the next day, which weren't anything special to be honest; we had promised Mia's younger cousin Katerina, to go to the public pool in the afternoon, but other than that we had nothing else to do.
Together at least.
Mia left my house shortly after finishing her meal. Signalling that she would text me later, she closed the door and pressed the bell twice. She did that every time. Why? I don't know.
I texted my mum goodnight and told my dad I was going to head to bed. Although I wasn't tired, I really needed the coziness of my bed and the sound of my favourite songs.
Getting in my room, I dumped my phone on my desk and let it charge. Connecting my iPad with the wireless speakers my mum had bought me for my birthday, I got on my bed and opened Spotify.
My 'Pop-corny Playlist' popped up.
Do you get it? Great, right?
Anyway...
My phone buzzed, signalling Mia's safe arrival at home. Ignoring it, I laid down and closed my eyes, enjoying the sound of the relaxing music.
Sleep took me over not long after, even though it wasn't in my plans. And that was how eventually the first day of my fabulous summer ended.
