*Leslie's P.O.V*
"Drake! Don't do it, no!" I screamed before getting splashed and pulled into the ocean by non other than my lovely boyfriend.
I dove under the sea and flinched at the temperature change. I felt my bikini top move slightly and quickly adjusted it before rising to the surface.
"You are mean," I pouted at him.
"Don't blame me, you were taking too long," he kissed my lips and smiled.
"You guys! There are kids like right next to you. No need to make one of your own right now," Mia joked a little too loud than she should have. A mother who was previously playing with her kids shot daggers at us and suggested that they go out to build sandcastles.
"More ocean for us," Drake kissed me again.
As you may have noticed, Drake was feeling better. It had almost been three weeks since his grandma's passing and life was slowly going back to normal. If it weren't for our loss it would've been better than just normal.
Drake having no job brought us even closer. We were taking walks, riding his bike around the city, going on dates... We were going swimming almost every day, something he loved since he was a kid. He felt happy again and that's what mattered.
"So," Mia interrupted our cuddling session swimming closer to us. "Are you guys ready for tomorrow's big game?"
Oh, yes! I forgot to tell about the most anticipated event of the summer. We were having a basketball match; my dad, Drake and myself against Mia's dad, Justin and herself. Our mums said they would be our cheerleaders and have their coffee nearby as we played. Coincidentally enough, Justin's parents were out of town, sailing to Hawaii, so thankfully nothing bothered our teams' balance.
"Can you not be ready? I don't think we are aloud," Drake joked about my dad's fanatic playing.
"What if the loser loses the girl?" Justin's eyes widened. "Congrats on your win, bud," he laughingly slapped Drake's back, earning wave of water on his face from dear Mia.

"Where is your mother Leslie? We need someone to keep a timer," my dad had already started bouncing the ball and shooting some shots impatiently.
"We're here, we're here!" Samantha walked out with a tray of iced lemon tea and some glasses. She was finally comfortable with everyone and actually hit it off with the other two mothers. "What should we set it to?"
"Let's go with twelve minutes, and we'll do three sets like the previous time, right? Can you handle more?"
"You should ask yourself that dad," I rolled my eyes at him and enjoyed his irritated reaction.
We ended up having four sets with me tripping only twice. Don't get me wrong, I liked basketball and I could say I'm not that bad. But dad had made us wear matching suits again and my shoes 'just didn't work with it' – his words not mine. I had to wear one of his own pairs, meaning three sizes bigger of a shoe.
The first quarter was an almost tie, Mia's team with twenty-four points and ours with twenty-one. The second one was clearly the best for us, scoring thirty points – mostly my dad's – comparing to Mia's seven. What can I say? We were the best. The third and the fourth quarters were – like the first one – close ones. The final scores were sixty-nice to eighty-eight, my team clearly winning.
To say I was surprised would be an understatement. Not only by our winning, but also by the fact that Mia's dad didn't overreact as expected. Both of our dad's were like that and it seemed strange not to have someone's mental breakdown after a basketball game.
"It's okay," Justin said while we were shaking hands like the professionals did. "As my grandma says; whoever loses at games wins at love," and bent down on one knee in front of Mia.
"Oh my god!" We both squealed simultaneously. With the corner of my eye I saw her mum fan herself with her hands. Her dad was in a state of shock with his mouth wide open.
"Justin," Mia shrieked.
"I know we are young and all, but I love you and I believe that it's time to take our relationship a step further," he put his hand in his pocket and took out a little black box. I grabbed at Drake's hand and watched in tears. "Mia, it doesn't have to be soon, I'll wait for as long as we'll need, but," he paused. "Will you marry me?"
Mia's face was priceless. She was shocked, smiling and crying all at the same time. "Of course I will!" She jumped up and down and hugged Justin once he was up.
"My little girl is engaged!" Mia's mum cheered. "At eighteen, but who counts?" We all laughed at that.
I congratulated both Justin and my best friend and told them I would wait for the maid of honor's gift.
"Leslie," Drake pulled me on the side. "I just want to say thank you," he hugged me.
I chuckled. "Why?"
"Remember when you asked for my happiest memory and I couldn't think of any?" I nodded. "Well, you've just helped creating one and I love you so much more for that."
"Aw, Drake... My life has flooded with happy memories since you got into it. I'm so glad you are happy again, and I promise that we'll do many more things for us to look back to in the future," I kissed his cheek.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
