*Leslie's P.O.V.*

Drake: But if you aren't Leslie, then... Who the hell are you and how did you find my number?

"Now what?" I shrieked and threw the phone towards Mia.

"Don't ask me! It wasn't supposed to go like that in the first place," she said anxiously.

Drake: I'm waiting...

Not knowing what to do, I chose to just tell him the truth. Glancing at my best friend and then back at the phone, I started typing.

Me: Alright, you got me. I am Leslie.

Drake: Then why did you lie to me?

Me: I didn't actually lie... I didn't know that I was the girl you wanted to meet. I texted you to find out who 'she' was, sorry :(

Drake: Why?

"What does he mean 'why'?" I asked. I didn't even know why I did it. I don't even know if I like him.

Mia snapped the phone from my hand and started typing a message.

Me: I was just curious.

Mia smirked and gave me back my phone. "That was what he said when your dad asked him why he was looking for you yesterday," she chuckled. "If he tells you that curiosity killed the cat, tell him that satisfaction brought it back."

Drake: You know.. Curiosity killed the cat ;)

That's why I love my best friend...

Me: But... satisfaction brought it back ;)

Drake: Does that mean you are satisfied by the fact that I wanted to see you?

Me: Possibly...

Drake: Would you like to grab some ice cream tomorrow?

"Mia," I panicked. "I think he is asking me on a date! Mia, help!"

Before my best friend could answer, another message came through.

Drake: Uh, I mean... Just hang out and, like, get to know each other a bit more...

My face must have become as red as a tomato until now, but it kinda felt nice. Have I not gone out with a guy for almost two years, I really liked Drake's offer.

Me: Hmm...

Drake: You're in?

"Don't sound too eager!" Mia screamed a little too loudly as far as the time was concerned. My dad was sleeping, and so were probably most of our neighbours.

"What should I tell him?" I asked her. "Yeah? Yes? I am?"

"Just type 'sure', darn it," she rolled her eyes.

"Winky face?" I asked, wiggling my eyebrows. The truth is that I'm not such of an emoji type. Whenever it was needed to use them, though, I did.

Mia slapped her forehead, but nodded anyway.

Me: Sure ;)

That night, we fell asleep while watching reruns of The Big Bang Theory on TV. I loved it when I didn't have to worry about waking up the next day. School adds stress even before stepping inside its property.

When the morning came, Mia and I joined my dad for breakfast.

"Mia... Lovely, super amazing friend of mine-"

"What do you want from me?" Mia glared, pointing her fork to my direction. Something that - let me tell you - was the most idiotic move of all time.

Dear Mia,
Why use your freaking fork to point at me when it's freaking full of scrambled eggs, love?!

After 'oops'ing and cleaning up the mess she caused, she motioned for me to continue.

"Can I borrow your baby blue dress?" I gave her my infamous puppy look.

Mia nodded, smiling at me. After swallowing her food, she called her dad and begged him to bring us the dress here.

"Are you going out, hun?" my dad raised an eyebrow at me. "After getting permission from whom, exactly?"

I mentally slapped myself.

My dad was just staring at me intently and challengingly. I didn't know what to say. One wrong word and my going out would be ruined.

Out of the blue, he burst out laughing, causing me to jump back in shock. "I was kidding, Leslie," he tried to compose himself.

Note the word 'tried'.

"What time are you leaving?" he asked again.

I glanced at the clock which was hanging on our kitchen wall. Drake and I had decided to go out at about ten, meaning in an hour or so.

"Soon enough," I informed him and stood up and twirling my way towards my room i dragged Mia along.

I've been dragging people a bit too much the last few days.

I felt my phone buzz in my back pocket, making me stop at my place.

Drake: Turns out I won't be able to make it... Work stuff :(

"Or maybe not so soon enough," I mumbled to myself, letting my phone hit the floor.
