AN: The reason Bella doesn't recognize the mind-swap carpet is because, well, I have a poor memory. She wouldn't remember it right away and remember what it does, especially since it's been around 30 years.
Also, since Stan and Bella don't know about the carpet-switching thing, and this story is from their POV, Dipper-in-Mabel's body is referred to as Mabel, and Mabel-in-Dipper's body is referred it as Dipper.
It was early in the morning, and Bella and Stan were watching TV in the living room. Well, Stan was watching TV; Bella was more or less staring blankly at the screen for a lack of anything better to do.
"Fight, fight, fight!" Stan cheered on the two men fighting onscreen. He changed the channel to two deer fighting. "Fight, fight, fight!" He changed the channel yet again to show two babies sitting together. "Fight, fight, fight!"
One of the babies was poked with a stick, causing it to slap the other baby. The two started slapping each other.
"Baby Fights!" The announcer said.
"TV; it knows what I want," Stan grinned. Just then, Dipper and Mabel ran into the room and stood in front of the TV.
"Grunkle Stan, Graunty Bella, we want different rooms," Dipper said.
"Ha!" Stan laughed. "And I want a pair of magic money pants. It's not gonna happen."
"Magic money pants...?" Mabel murmured in confusion.
"Come on, Grunkle Stan," Dipper said, "can't we work something out?"
"Dipper, there's our room and the attic," Bella spoke. "That's it. It's not like there's some kinda secret hidden room in the shack."
A loud crash was heard from from the other room.
"Dudes! I found some kinda secret hidden room in the shack!" Soos yelled. The twins grinned at each other and they all hurried into the other room where Soos was.
"Ok, so I was cleaning up behind this bookcase when boom!" Soos explained. "Mystery door! This old shack is full of weird secrets."
Soos opened the door and the five of them peered into the room. Dipper and Mabel entered, looking around in awe.
"Woah-ho!" Dipper exclaimed.
"Classy..." Mabel smiled. Dipper looked at the calendar on the wall. Mabel blew the dust off of a mirror and started coughing. Dipper bent down to look at the carpet.
"Grunkle Stan, Graunty Bella, what is this place?" He asked.
"I can't remember," Bella lied, shaking her head. She did remember; this used to be Ford's room.
"Just another room I gotta clean up now," Stan grouched, picking up a pair of Ford's old glasses and folding his arms. Mabel fell backwards into the carpet and started making snow angels.
"This carpet is amazing!" She exclaimed.
"Yeah, if you're into things that are terrible," Stan replied sarcastically. Dipper spotted the key hanging on the wall and grabbed it.
"Problem solved, I'll move in here," He grinned.
"What? Why do you automatically get the room?" Mabel asked. "We both saw it at the same time."
"Wait a second," Stan snatched the key from Dipper. "So you both want this room, huh? I guess I'll give it to whichever one of you I like more." He untied his shoe. "Uh oh. Looks like my shoe's untied."
Bella giggled as Dipper and Mabel both struggled to tie Stan's shoe. Stan laughed evilly.
"To the kitchen!" He announced. "Fight, fight, fight!"
