Lumabas kami ni Ella at some mall. I asked for sundo rin naman para kung mawawala ako ay may susundo sa akin.
We stayed at the Starbucks for now. Nagpakilala sa isat- isa. She's 2 years older pala and could speak many languages.
"So, how's life Clairina? "
"Well, it's. Fine... I guess? "
"Hahaha. Pano mo naman nasabi? "
I sipped on the drink and answered
"Well, I got few friends, my life is happy, and there's not much complications in life. No challenge? Hahaha"
"Oh.. Uhmm haha"
She kinda sound bitter
"So, dito ka na ba permanently? "
Umiling ako
"Nope. I'll celebrate my 16th birthday here. I'll leave after my 18th birthday "
"Oh that's good to hear. So dito ka mag-aaral ? Saang paaralan ba? "
"I don't know. Mom's decisions... But she'll say yes if I suggest. I just don't suggest much"
"Oh? Sa Hope's Peak Academy ka nalang! " she suggested
"But di tayo masyadong magkikita? Plus, aren't colleges and high school separated? "
Tumango siya
"Yep. But malaki iyong school na iyon. Magkaiba lang ang buildings. Wala nga lang elementary"
"Hmm.. Sure then. "
And then after everything, we watched a movie. The title was Paper Towns? Sooo probably she loved watching love stories.
After that we went shopping. Good thing I brought money.
And suddenly I felt more comfortable with her than with my friends at Japan. No offenses but, really.
"Alam mo bagay na bagay sayo iyang mga damit eh. Next time nanaman? "
"Sure. I'll wear it if we're out. "
I texted my driver that I'm waiting at some restaurant and I saw kuya Marco, the driver.
I invited Ella for a ride and she was about to refuse but pinilit ko.
Tinuro niya kung san papunta bahay nila.
"Clairina pasok ka muna sa bahay? "
"No thanks. My mom's looking for me already. Maybe next time? "
"Oh. Sige, ingat"
And then I went home.
Pagdating sa bahay, I saw mom sitting at the sofa with a serious face.
"San ka galing? "
"Laag with friend mom. Ella, remember? "
"Oh. Ok. "
She's with her formal expression now. I went to my room and rest.
