Life after 10 years

Star's POV

"Clairina, bat nga pala iba ang last name mo sa mga magulang mo? "

"Hmm. Siguro dahil ampon ako? "

"No way!  You have Japanese features like your parents kaya! Pero, nakakapagtaka lang kung bakit naiiba apilyedo mo. "

"Hahaha sige na nga sasabihin ko na. "

"Oo biliiiis! "

Si Miyuki yan. Kaibigan ko last year. Siya lang naman ang naging totoong kaibigan ko sa buong buhay.

Siya yung laging nagtatanggol sa akin compare to my other friends.

Nasa park kami ngayon. Hinihintay ang isa pa naming kaibigan. Mabait din siya, close kami sa iilang bagay.

Pero pinagtatanggol lang ako pag andiyan si Miyuki

"Kasi, sabi---"

Naputol ang sasabihin ko nang dumating ang isang kaibigan namin...

"Ohayo minna! "

"Ohayo Naomi-chan"-kami ni Miyuki

Ohayo- good morning
Minna- everyone
Chan- uhm, friend I think?

Marunong silang magtagalog. May dugong Pilipino din sila. But we use Japanese when it comes to greetings

"Wait, continue mo na Clairina. "

"Oh sorry. I didn't know you were talking at something. "

"Ahh. Ganito kasi iyon. Marami kasing nanganak nung day na iyon kaya iba ang nailagay sa last name ko. "

"Weh?  You're a rumored orphan.  So that explains it. But bakit di mo nalang gagamitin yung last name ng parents mo? "

Nagkibit balikat ako sa sinabi ni Naomi

"Let's go shopping already! "

Ayun, umalis na kami.

Pagbalik ko sa bahay, andun na sina mommy at daddy.

"Konnichiwa, mom and dad"

I kissed their cheek.

"Hi darling!  We have great news for you. "

Well, my mom is not madaldal talaga. But when it comes to surprises, she sounds like she won the lottery.

"What is it mom? "

I simply said while smiling.

I grew up formally. As in formal. Like a princess..

You know?  A lady with class? 
Dressing with elegance?

In short DECENT.

"You're so formal. Okay back to the topic, we're going back to the Philippines! "

After mom said that, I kept silent.

"Uhmm... Philippines?  Ehmm.. Is it happy there? "

"Y-yes darling... Can't you remember that w-we went there?  10 years ago? "

Umiling ako while awkwardly smiling.

10 years ago?  So I was like, 5 years old?  6?

"Well, sabagay. We only stayed there for months. "

I smiled nalang.

"When will we go back there? "

"Before your birthday. We'll celebrate your birthday there and we'll stay there until you're 18. After your 18th birthday, we'll go back here"

Tumango ako.

"I'll tell this to my friends mom. Just to inform them."

"I see. Very well, then. "

She said and left with formality.

I chatted Naomi and Miyu

Naomi: well that's great!
Miyuki: whaaaat?  Wag mo kami iwan!
Me: hahaha hindi naman.
Naomi : babalik ka dito ha?
Me: yes. After my 18th birthday. I'll invite you soon

I log out after sending those.

Humiga ako sa kama.

So... I'm gonna celebrate my 16th there, huh?
