Part Sixteen: Talk Shows and Showing Off

Today is the day. Right now I am in my dressing room getting ready. Shawn couldn't be here because he had an important meeting. It's okay though, I don't get nervous about interviews anymore.

I picked out a cute, fitted, yellow dress that flows at the bottom and I put on some light brown sandals. My hair is in a super cute side braid with some loose pieces. I'm really excited for this interview, I love Ellen so much!

I hear my name being called to go out on stage and so the stage director guided me out.

I walked out and everyone started cheering. It was so great. I went and gave Ellen a hug and then we both sat down.

"Hi! It's nice to meet you. You look nice." Ellen said plopping down in her chair.

"Thank you it's nice to meet you too! I'm a big fan."

"Well you better be!" She said laughing and everyone else laughed too. "So you have three singles out right now right? What was it like when those came out." 

"It was great! It all felt so unreal and I was just really glad that so many people enjoyed listening to it." I said looking out at everyone real quick.

"That's great! And you're so young too, has it ever gotten just really stressful?" She asked being serious.

"Oh yeah it has sometimes, but I'm lucky to have wonderful people around me to help out with this whole process."

"That's good that's good. So I have to ask now, because ya know I just have to. You and Shawn Mendes are dating right?" I smiled and blushed a little.

"Yes me and Shawn are dating. He's actually helped me out a lot with this whole process too. He's always there supporting me." Everyone awed which made me blush even more.

"That's cute. Do you know that you and Shawn got nominated cutest new couple?" 

"What? I didn't know that. What is that?" I laughed because I have no idea what she's talking about.

"Well Seventeen Magazine does a cutest couple thing and in Febuary the winner is announced on Valentine's Day." She pulled up a picture on the screen of an old edition of it with Justin Beiber and Selena Gomez. (A/n: I don't think that this is a real thing, but we'll just pretend.) 

"Oh okay I didn't know we were nominated for that, I'll have to tell him." I laughed and shrugged my shoulders making everyone else laugh.

"So everyone is wanting to know what your favorite thing about Shawn is?" I was a little surprised when she asked that. 

"I don't know, there is so much to love about him." Everyone awed again. 

"I know, but if you had to choose one thing. One thing about his personality and one thing about his features." Okay now this question is better. 

"Well one thing I love about his personality is how honest and genuine he is. He's also really funny, there isn't ever a dull moment with him." We both laughed because she pulled up the picture of us when we did makeovers that I had posted on Instagram.

"One thing about his features I guess would be his smile. When he smiles. Like when he really smiles it just melts my heart." 

"That sounds a bit  painful but okay." Ellen said and I started laughing.

Afterwards we talked about my family and friends and then she announced my new album. I went and performed and then went backstage to go change. 

I walked back into my dressing room and changed and then a little while later me and Jason headed to the studio to so I could get some song writing in.
