Part Twenty Three: Confusion

It's been four month now since I last saw Shawn. We haven talked at all. I honestly don't know why. Every time I was going to call or text I chickened out.

Me and Matt have gone out. We aren't boyfriend and girlfriend yet. We decided to take time to really get to know eachother and spend time together before we make it official. Matt is really great, he always knows how to get my mind of of everything.

The movie I was filming comes out in two months from now. I had a blast filming it!

Right now I'm back home in Canada and Matt is with me. I'm home for graduation which is tomorrow. I'm very excited, I won't have to do anymore school for the rest of my life! 

I was laying on my bed, texting Brain and Mak when I saw Matt walk into my room. 

"Hey, whatcha doing?" He said and came and layed on the bed. He layed his head on my stomach I played with his hair a little.

"I'm just talking to Mak and Brian. I can't wait for you to meet them!" I said and kept texting them.

"Well I can't wait to meet them. I hope they like me, I would hate for my girlfriends bestfriend to hate me." Matt laughed and then kissed my cheek.

"Girlfriend? I was never asked to be anyone's girlfriend." I said and laughed.

"Okay then." Matt stood up and extended his hand out to me. I took it and he pulled me up next to him. "Lexi Smith, will you be my girlfriend?" He looked into my eyes and said.

"Yes. I would love to be your girlfriend!" I giggled and then kissed him.

"She said yes! She said yes!"Matt ran around the room saying. I laughed and rolled my eyes at him.

"I don't think we should go public yet though. I think we should let people see us in public and slowly let everyone know." I said and he agreed.

We went downstairs to have dinner with my family and tell them the good news. We walked down the stairs and then the doorbell rang. 

"I'll get it!" I yelled because everyone was in the kitchen.

I opened the door and the Mendes family including Shawn, Mak, and Brian were all at the door.

"Hey! What are you guys doing here?" I asked as I let them in.

"Your mother didn't tell you? We are here for dinner before you guys graduate tomorrow." She said and laughed. I greeted everyone until Shawn came in. There's no point in being weird Lexi, just act normal and be friendly.

"Hey! How have you been?" I smiled and said.

"I've been good. What about you?" He asked and then hugged me. When he hugged me I felt weak in my knees. Whoa what is going on with me?

"I've been good! I'm really excited about tomorrow." I said and he laughed.

He walked in and him and Matt started talking. We all went to the dining room and I think Shawn was going to pull out my chair for me, but Matt did instead. I just looked at Matt and smiled and then smiled at Shawn. 

"So when can we expect to see your movie?" Manny asked as we began to eat.

"I think the director said it would come out at the end of July." Matt said.

"I saw the trailer and it looks really good!" Aaliah said and she shovels corn in her mouth. I looked at her and laughed because she looked funny. Shawn saw her too and we both started laughing like dorks. 

"What's so funny?" Aaliah said looking at us.

"Nothing." Shawn said and looked at me. I looked at him and then looked back at Aaliah and smiled. She just rolled her eyes at us.
