Seth ran out of the locker room with his face flushed from crying. He ran straight towards his car hoping to find his manager there. Having found his car at the parking area, Seth ran towards it immediately. He stopped by his car and stared at it restlessly to find it locked and empty from the inside. "Seth!!" a familiar voice was heard from a distance. Seth turned towards the direction of the voice to find his manager standing under a tree which was a couple of metres away from him. Seth scooted over to his manager right then and wrapped both his arms around the manager tightly.
"Hey, what's wrong Seth? Are you crying?" asked the manager, stroking the back of Seth head worriedly.
"Roman and D-dean have f-found me out!" cried Seth, resting his head onto his manager's shoulder
"They have found you out? What do you mean by that?" asked the manager, getting slightly confused.
"Even though I pretended to I hate them, they could still make it out that I don't hate them." said Seth in his crying voice.
"What!? You... You were pretending to hate them all that while? But why?" gasped the manager.
"Because they know what I've been through since the past 6 months. They care a lot about me and they do know what the WWE title means to me. Moreover, I saved Dean from the hammer, sacrificing my health and my career. And that's why, I got a feeling that if I came back for my title, Roman might not give his all to defend his title and might just let me win it." said Seth, and continued to cry.
"That's why I wanted them to hate me, so that they go head to head with me instead of letting me win it." added Seth.
"Oh, Seth." said the manager, as he stroked Seth's back in order to comfort him. "You didn't have to pretend to be rude to them. You could've just spoken to Roman about what you felt, and he would of understood you. I'm sure he would have given his all while defending his title from you. He too is a wrestler after all and he would've surely understood you. Haven't you seen him go against Dean a lot of times, and that too in title matches? They know how it feels if you win something on your own."
"I know, it was stupid of me to have done that. I could've just spoken to Roman instead of being rude to both of them." said Seth, getting his head off his manager's shoulder. "And no matter how hard I tried to pretend that I hated them, they could still find me out!"
"They are your brothers after all. They can always find you out." said the manager in a warm tone. Seth then pressed his palm over his eyes wiping his tears and sniffed hard. "I know Roman and Dean are mad at me for being rude to them. I really wanna put our fights to an end as I love them and I know no one else cares for me as much as they do. At Battleground, I'm surely ending this." said Seth trying to hold back his tears whereas the manager, on being overwhelmed, embraced Seth again.

One month later.
The main event of WWE Battleground was the triple threat match between Dean, Roman and Seth for the WWE title. The bell went off whereas Roman, Dean and Seth stood inside the ring forming a triangle, staring at each other for a while without hitting each other. Seth wasn't sure whether he could hit them first. He soon snapped out of his thoughts as soon as Dean leaped towards Seth and started punching him over his face. Seth knew Dean was mad. He kept taking hits until he fell down onto the floor of the ring. He tried to defend himself and pushed Dean off his body. Dean fell back but was soon met with Roman behind him and they started hitting each other right then.
The match they were having was pretty hard and personal. The former brothers of the Shield going against each other violently for the WWE title was breathtaking. They used chairs and tables in order to knock one another down. It really was a battle. After 25 minutes of wrestling each other, Roman held the back of Dean's head and dragged him towards the ropes, throwing him out of the ring. Dean lay down on the floor, feeling exhausted and breathing heavy. Roman then turned back to find Seth climbing up the top rope even though he was tired and was huffing for air. Roman stared at Seth as he sluggishly climbed up the top rope sitting down on the turnbuckle. His heart missed a beat as he thought Seth's knee would be shattered again if he landed wrongly since he was all tired and sluggish and was not focused.
