I Shot Him

The ambulance and the back up had arrived rushing onto the scene,Loomis and Ben was on the porch trying to rest up from their minor injuries.
"Thank god they came" Loomis said.Ben helped Loomis up from the porch.
"Tell a paramedic to check to see if the injuries are serious" Ben said.
"I should be saying that to you" Loomis said.They both chuckled finally having not to worry about Michael nomore their day was seeming to end on a good note.
"Sheriff" a voice called out.It was deputy Clark who was running over to Ben and Loomis to see if they were ok.
"What happened to your shoulder sir?" Clark asked.
"Long story son,but I want you to go check out the barn and take some of those paramedics with you their should be two bodies in there" Ben said.
"Yes sir" Clark said.Then he and another deputy and two paramedics went into the barn while Loomis went to see another paramedic and Ben went to talk to the rest of the deputy's.
"Did you get him sir?"a deputy asked.
"Of course I did it was a challenge I give him that I shot the bastard atleast four times" Ben said.
"Four times with the shot gun sir?" A deputy asked.
"It's crazy isn't it?,the average person would've been dead within the first shot but for some reason he didn't fall within the first shot" Ben said.
"Sounds so unreal sir" a deputy said.
"That's what Halloween is for" Ben said.Then they all shared a laugh,it was good to have a sense of humor after everything that happened,Ben was feeling good about himself for the first time in days.
"Sir!" A voice cried out.Clark came running out the barn and Ben ran over to him and when Loomis saw it he got out the paramedics and ran over too.
"what happened son?" Ben asked.
"Sir there's only one body in there" Clark said.Loomis and Ben looked at each other in disbelief.
"Are you sure about this?" Loomis asked.
"Sir I saw a body hooked on the wall then I seen a blood trail I think the other body crawled away" Clark said.
"No way in hell" Ben said,then he ran to the barn behind him was Loomis and Clark.They ran inside to the old mans body getting zipped up into the body bag and a slight blood trail.
"This blood trail was here when I got here sir" Clark said.Ben kneeled down next to the trail and he looked at it with shock and disbelief.
"I...I shot him...Loomis I shot him" Ben said in disbelief.
"He couldn't have got far" Loomis said,checking around the barn to see if Michael was anywhere.
"He snuck out the window" Loomis said."Come look at this".Ben got up and went to check the window,they both seen a bloodly hand print on the window.
"Do you think he dropped dead somewhere?" Loomis asked.
"Loomis...I shot him...he can't be walking" Ben said.
"We gotta find him" Loomis said.
"Loomis what we gonna do?,we did all this shit and we got another dead body on our hands and the guy responsible got away and we have no idea where the hell he could be now we got nothing no leads the blood trail ain't even long enough to show us where the bastard went,face it we lost,we are dealing with a demon" Ben said.
"I can't believe you saying that ben,I know it's been a rough few days but we can't stop now we just can't we gotta keep going before Halloween comes,if hes doing all this imagine the terror on Halloween" Loomis said.
"You know what you are right we gotta stop him" Ben said."I'm gonna go get this wound of mind stitched up and we gonna game plan after".They both went back to the paramedics while Loomis thought to himself what kind of man can take all those bullets and still walk away?.
