Chapter 47: First time

> Our trip for today is in Night Market in Baguio, ngayun napagdesisyunan ko na pakainin si Charles ng street foods. Ate Ghabe mentioned that Charles didn't taste any street food yet, at medyo ayaw niya ito. I was scrolling through my news feed when I saw the Night Market in Baguio, natakam tuloy ako bigla sa street food. It will open from 9pm to 2am kaya ngayong 6 pm kami aalis para sakto langsa pagdating, nagbook na naman ako ng hotel eh hehe. I'm kind of excited.

Actually, I'm on my way para sunduin siya ngayon. I'm wearing a black spaghetti strap under my white sweatshirt tucked in my black pencil skirt, pero dahil malamig na for sure sa gabi, I wore a black stockings at ankle boots. Hehe, may dala naman akong duffle bag para may damit din akong pamalit.

Pagdating ko sa condo niya ay sinalubong niya ako sa entrance, nakangiti ako sa kanya at siyempre hinalikan niya ako sa noo.

"So saan mo ko balak dalhin ngayon at kailangan may extra tayong damit??"

"Sa lugar kung saan mo matitikman ang lahat hahah besides we will be there or at least 3 days hehe para naman makapagpahinga tayo. Super dami nating works these past few days, we need to cheer Charles."

Ngumiti siya. Hmmmm sana hindi niya sa green minded na paraan na inisip iyon hahahahaha.

From Makati, we will go to Baguio, probably we will take at least 4 hours, sana hindi traffic ano.

"Ummm Trisha, where are we exactly going?? Why are we on our way to Pampanga??" he asked confusingly, I smiled at him, "We aren't there yet, malayo pa tayo, asa Angeles Pampanga pa lang tayo. Chill ka lang, we will get there." sabi ko na nakangiti, he nod hesitantly and I smirk. Hindi naman sobrang traffic pero hindi rin sobrang bilis ng biyahe kaya nagdrive thru muna kami sa mcdo rito sa Tarlac. I know the way dahil nagpatulong ako, buti na lang at marunong ako magdrive.

Hindi nagtagal, we are on our way to Pangasinan, actually malapit na sa Urduneta, Pangasinan. "Hindi ka pa ba pagod?? Ang layo na ng nirating natin ah. I can see the sign already, Pangasinan??" sabi niya, natawa naman ako. "Yeah, dadaanan lang natin Pangasinan, huwag kang mag-alala." sabi ko naman sa kanya. His forehead creased and continue watching in the road. 8:15 pm na rin kasi, he is actually confused na talaga.

I booked in a 3-star hotel, I know but it is one of the hotels with highest rates noh, deluxe room ang kinuha ko and 3 days lang naman kami, 4 days and 3 nights. Hindi naman super mahal so okay lang hehe. 

Update, we are in Tuba. Benguet na hehe. "What on earth are we doing in Benguet?!" nanlalaking mata ni Charles, "We are almost there, patience Charles hehe." sabi ko, smooth na ang biyahe, and we are almost near in Baguio.

9:18 pm, we arrived in Baguio kaya dumiretcho muna ako sa hotel.

"Charles?? Welcome to Baguio, Benguet."  sabi ko. I parked my car in the hotel and went inside.

(A/N: Hi, I don't know how the hotel system work, I just made up the conversation between the receptionist and the customer(Trisha).)

"Hi, good evening Ma'am, how can I help you??" nakangiting sabi ng babae, I removedmy shades while Charles is standing behind me.

"Hi, I reserved a deluxe room under the name of Trisha Hanazono." nakangiti kong sabi sa receptionist, nanlaki naman ang mata nito ng na-realize kung sino ata ako. "Please, we want to spend our days here in Baguio without any commotion." nakingiti ko pang dagdag, she nod slowly before she do whatever she need to do at binigay na ang susi. "Thank you!! Charles, let's go. We will start our night tonight hehe." sabi ko. We went to our room and left our bags there pero dinala namin ang mga importanteng bagay, good thing I brought my camera with me."

Naglakad kaming papuntang night market, he was like a new kid, amazed at his surroundings. Pagkarating sa night market, I smirked at him before speaking.

"Charles, Welcome to the Night Market of Baguio.  I will introduced you a lot of things tonight and one of them is street foods. Diba nga sabi ko sayo dadalhin kita sa lugar na matitikman mo ang lahat." hahahahahah I mentally laugh at his face especially at his reaction. "What the fuck?" he confusingly said. I barked a laugh, his face is so priceless.

We went inside at dumiretcho sa kainan. I saw a stall selling Kwek-kwek and other foods kaya naman ay mabilis ko siyang hinila roon. I bought kwek-kwek together with kikiam, squid and fish ball. I gave him the other cup and his face screams like SERIOUSLY?! "Malinis yan. Promise. dali na!! taste is before you judge." paki-usap ko. Yung isang stick na kwek kwek ayun nawala na kasama noong iba, natawa ako sa kanya dahil bumili pa ulit siya.

We tried binatog as well and steam corn with cheese. He was having fun naman so far, I even take a few pictures. Habang naglilibot, I saw a stall making and selling Japanese cake. 

"Let's try this one!! It's one of my favorites!!" nakangiti kong sabi. I bought at least 10 pieces and he enjoyed it eating with me. Hindi ko rin pinalagpas and Takoyaki at iba pang pagkain. 

"I never thought street food is delicious, we should go back here again." sabi niya, tumawa naman ako at tumango, nag-ikot ikot pa kami bago bumalik sa inn.

I posted a few pictures and a lot was reacting and commenting na totoo nga yung nakita nila, some of them were in Baguio as well at nakita kuno nila kami. I laugh at them and replied sa ibang comments.

"I knew it, you will enjoy this night." sabi ko kaya tumawa siya, the next few days, we visited some well-known landmarks before going home, at siya naman ang nagdrive. Our Baguio trip was fun, especially for him, it was his first time after all.
