Sorry, I didn't like how I first wrote this chapter so I re-did it. It was annoying me all night :/ but I like it better now
(Sapphire's P.O.V)
When there was no sound coming from downstairs, I changed into a black t-shirt with a green skull, denim shorts and sliding on a ring with a sapphire and an emerald. I zipped up my black gladiator shoes and set my thick hair in a ponytail. I looked at my blue digital alarm clock and read 2:30. Grabbing my Norse book I quietly slipped out of the house and down towards the Brooklyn Bridge. I looked out over the sea and wondered that if I jumped, would I die or would I be able to swim away. When I started reading about the Bifrost Bridge there was a flash of lightning, some colors that came down on Central Park. I turned back to the book and saw the same thing in the picture, closing the book I ran across the bridge over to Central Park as fast as I could. When I got there I saw a man with a red cape and a giant hammer standing on one knee
"Dear lord" I whispered "A-Are you alright?"
He turned to me evily and hit me in the jaw with the hammer. I fell over, the book flying off somewhere. I grabbed my jaw with my hand and gasped in horror. Not at the blood pouring out of my mouth, but when my skin starting to turn blue
"I did not know demi-gods bled. I wonder i your bones will break as easily" He smiled
"W-Who are you?!"
"I am Thor" He hissed coming at me
"More like drunk" I mumbled getting up, punching him in the jaw. His head whipped back a little, but then it cameback and he started laughing, so I kicked him in the family jewels. He went down, then growled
"Crap" I whispered running away. As I was running, the breath was knocked right out of me as he grabbed me around the waist and throat "Thought you could get away from Thor?"
"Help!" I scream trying to wriggle free
"You cannot escape my wrath!"
"HELP!" I screamed louder, making him chuckle. I cursed out the East Side of Manhattan for not hearing my screams. I shouted help more and more, everytime coming out quieter and quieter until I felt like death was just waiting for me to die any second. I choked out one last "Help" and he sweezed his grip on my neck tighter
"Die you little monster" He hufffed, then was pushed down, freeing me. I wriggled out from under his limp body and crawled a good two feet just staring at him, waiting for him to stand up. I stood up wanting to see who just saved my life. It was a tall thin man wearing dark green armor and matching cape. His eyes were green annd his face was pale. I stared at him and said "Thank you"
His eyes shot up form him to me and asked "Are you Eira?" I wanted to tell him no, but deep down in my heart I felt a sad, longing, feeling. As if I wanted, needed, to say yes.
"I-I have some questions"
"I have answers" He replied "I'll answer them, but not here. Somewhere else, somewhere more private" I nodded my head, then ran off
"Wait!" I grabbed my book running back to him and said "I have the perfect place, follow me" I took him to the Brooklyn Bridge and we sat on the edge "So who was that guy, and w-why did he try to kill me?"
"That was my arrogant brother Thor. He wanted to kill you, because, because"
"Because what?" I asked curious
He sighed and looked at me "You didn't die the first time"
I looked at him "What?"
"They wanted to kill you and your mother. she perished, but because of the goddess Freyja you were saved. she sent you to Earth, changed your eye color to keep you hidden" He then waved his hand over my face and said "Now, their to the normal color of green"
I smiled, then thought this through "And where's my father? Did you know him?"
"Very well" He replied "Your mother was a mortal named Darcy Lewis" He looked at me smiling "You look just like her, brown hair, fair skin. She had deep blue eyes. Your father loved her very much"
"Why did they want to kill me?"
"The people of Asgard, besides Freyja, your father and I, thought she was a witch, and was afraid. They killed her, and you as well but you escaped"
I took this all in and asked "Why did my skin turn blue when thor's hammer hit me?"
He looked surprised and answered "Mortals turn blue when his hammer hits them"
"Do not lie to me Loki. I know you're the God of Mischief, a talented liar. Tell me the truth"
He chuckled to himself "I am a mis-shapen Frost Giant, you may also be like me. We can withstand unspeakable tempreatures, if another Frost giant touches us, our skin turns blue and our eyes red" He interlocked his fingers within mine and held up our hands. I watched as our skin turn blue, markings starting to stick out, his eyes turning less green and more blood red. He let go and the blue, the markings, the red eyes, slowly faded back into what they were before. "I can create frost, I do not know if you can or not, or why you turned when my brother's hammer hit you" Loki looked at me "I do know that you will learn your powers. You will return to Asgard. You will be safe and be a rightful demi-goddess"
I looked up at the moon and said "All this time, when I thought I was just talking to the moon, I was actually talking to gods and goddesses" I sighed and looked at my book. Suddenly I jumped up "Oh no! They still think I'm home!" Loki stood up, brushing the dirt off his shoulders and said "I can take you home. Just tell me where you live"
I rattled off my address and he teleported me back. I looked at my house then asked "Why did thhe Greek Gods take me?" I turned, but he was gone. Sighing I slipped in, frost following me up the stairs. My fingers, laced with frost, covered where I had touched. Frost covered where I has stepped, up the stairs, down the hall, towards my room. I closed the door silently, changing back into my pjs, keeping the ring on my right ring finger. I looked at the jewels realizing how much this ring represents me. The Sapphire, my name, the lperson I was raised to be. The Emerald, my heritage, the person I was born to be...
...
..."SAPPHIRE! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!" I climbed out of bed, down the hall, touching the frost, the frost clutching my feet so I wouldn't slip. I met my mother in the main hallway, watching her fix her haircurlers and the tie to her (very) short white robe
"What kind of insanity is this?!" She screeched storming towards me, then slipping right in front of me
"Not insanity" I replied looking down on her "Power"
