"Sister, today's lesson is about conversing," my sister declared as she burst into my room, ready to teach.

She quickly kicks off the lesson, letting me know she's in a hurry. She covers the concept of nonchalance, telling me that when people talk about sad or terrible news, I shouldn't let it bother me. I can signal my indifference by ignoring them or putting on earphones. With a wave, she departs, heading to Nathan Phillips Square.

In my room, I ponder the difference between the people I love and those I hate—those I want to ignore.

Just as I'm about to relax on my bed, Grandpa makes a heartwarming entrance.

"Hello darling" Grandpa greeted me the moment he entered my room

"I heard you just broke up with your boyfriend, what happened? Why did you leave him?" He addresses my breakup and urges me to let my emotions out.

"I left him because I realized I have two hands" I explained my decision with a quirky analogy involving my hands.

"That means something" I added

"The right means I must choose the right person"

"And the left explains why I left him because he's not the one for me"

"So yeah, I left him because he's not the one for me and I must choose the right person" I answered grandpa with a smile

"You know darling, don't smile when you're in pain, just let it out, cry out loud if you want to, just please, promise me after this you'll get better than ever"

"I'm hurt when you're in pain, always remember I love you, okay? We love you" Grandpa hugged me tight

"I love you Papa" I muttered

"Oh, my sweet Darling's still my baby" Grandpa teased me

"Papa!" I complained and he laughed out loud

"I've also heard that you're learning the Bitch craft 101 of your sister"

"Darling, if you'll change-"

"Papa, I'll still act like a baby in front of you so stop talking, you know sister's just bored that's why she's giving me her terrible tutors" I covered his mouth "Besides, what's a bitch craft 101 anyway?"

"Okay, okay!" He put his hands up as a sign of surrender and let out a chuckle "She prolly don't know how to comfort you that's why she's giving you nonsense"

"Yep"

"I'm going now, see you later" he kissed my forehead goodbye

"Bye Papa"

Grandpa's love shines through as he reassures me of his support. He reminds me that despite the pain, I'll eventually get better and I trust him

"Baby Storm!" My Aunt shouted from the Dining Room downstairs

"Coming!" I shouted at the top of my lungs

But after a minute, I regretted shouting because I just realized we have an intercom that's connected all around the house

"Follow me" That's the first thing she said and we walked towards the kitchen

"We are going to bake!" She informed me with a wide smile

"Brownies!" We said in chorus and my eyes twinkled in excitement

"We are going to bake a Brownie Marshmallow Crunch Bar this time, Baby" She winked "And we are going to use Ritter Sport" She added because in the ingredients, it says there chocolate and peanut butter are a must but since I hate peanut butter and I'm allergic to it, we're going to use pure chocolates

"And prepare the Raspberry, I'm going to make a Raspberry Rose Gin and Tonic Drink"  she added

"Aunt, can you also make a Blueberry Thyme this time?" I asked

"Of course, Baby" she answered

I looked at my aunt and saw her genuine smile but her eyes are somewhat telling me she's incomplete

I really love baking with my Aunt, laughing with her, and hanging out with her and I also love Grandpa's company, but I'm afraid one day I can't hang out with them anymore because there's the word distance that will probably do its thing

"I know what you're thinking, baby" I heard my Aunt say

"Hmm?"

"Baby, it's your choice, if you want to change-change for the better, as I've heard, a bitch must distance herself right?"

"Yeah"

"Well, your sister told you, you must distance yourself but have you realized she didn't tell you including your family and friends? Meaning, she's telling you, you must distance yourself from the fake people showing fake love to you and you must distance yourself from the playboys out there" she winked

"Because they are just considered as horny nitwits who want every sexy girl to ride their pony" she chuckled

"Playboys can change, they will change, aunt, don't be bitter" I teased her

"Whatever"

"Who is that guy who broke you" I crunched my nose

"Well, I know the guy who broke you" she teased making me pout

The scene shifts to a gym session with my sister the next day.

Her lessons now focus on appearance and fitness. She's adding the word "sexy" repeatedly, and I can't help but roll my eyes at her theatrics.

Memories of bullying from high school resurface, but they're swiftly replaced by a comforting presence—Tyler, my savior. He stood up for me, and his protective nature remains steadfast. He promises to teach me how to be strong. Tyler's presence and guidance transformed me from a timid girl to a stronger individual since then. His influence motivated me to stand up for myself, although I still struggled with some of his advice.

As I reflect on these lessons and memories, it's clear that love and support from family and friends are what truly matter.

As I reflected on our journey together, I realized how fortunate I was to have him by my side. His unwavering support and care made me feel truly loved and protected.

The past might have been challenging, but with the right people by my side, I'm ready to face whatever comes my way.
