I had absolutely no idea where I was, but apparently Zamon, with all the confidence in the world, knew where we were, what direction we were going, and what time it was. Which was 9:30pm. How he knew all this was beyond me, but it didn't matter because I didn't really believe what he said.
As we walked down the dark streets, houses started to appear and we soon left the industrial area.
"So, where exactly are we going?" My voice was loud in the quiet street.
"One of my allies is situated near here. If we find him, he'll help us." I looked at his walking figure, frowning.
"Are you sure he will? I mean, there's a warrant out for our arrest. I doubt he'll mind throwing us under the bus."
"He's an ally for a reason Rebecca." I rolled my eyes at his determined expression. Sure.

We arrived at a cute little two story, inconspicuous house, which is apparently where this ally who goes by the name Steve, lives. I raised my eyebrows at the house, then at Zamon.
"This?! This is the house he lives in?" Zamon rolled his eyes at me. Apparently it was nearly midnight, but he just cruised up and started banging on the door.
"Oh god Zamon, shut up, he might be asleep!" He ignored me.
After a few tense seconds, the door swung open to reveal a huge, burly looking man who looked more related to a neanderthal than a human.
"Larson, it's nice to see you again, is your father here?" Zamon said sweetly. If this is Steve's kid, I couldn't fathom what the man himself would look like.
Steve let out a very ape like grunt, then turned and walked away, leaving us to follow. We walked through the little house behind Zamon. It smelt like stew, and the scent made me realize I hadn't eaten in more than 24 hours.
We were lead through the kitchen and down a set of stairs, before Larson presented us a door then quickly left.
Zamon knocked, then entered. My jaw dropped at the man sitting at the desk. He was normal size and normal looking. I found it hard to believe that Steve was Larson's father.
"Zamon. What a surprise. And you must be the infamous Rebecca Robinson." I nodded at his assumption, preferring not to talk. "There's a lot of people after you. And there's a very large reward for your arrest. I thought you'd have fled the country, not come here." There was something about the way he said it, confused me.
"We didn't have enough time to leave. We've been on the run, and last night the feds found us. We only just made it out. We need your help." Zamon explained.
They stared at each other, while I looked around the room. It was a standard office, with personal items scattered around. Directly behind Steve sat a wooden door. Wonder had me itching towards it, before Steve's voice brought me out if my reverie.
"You can stay here for as long as you two need." His overly enthusiastic way of announcing this had me frowning. "I'll get Marie to make you some food and show you to your room."

It was the 4th night at Steve's, with no contact of the outside world. I was beginning to get restless. All I wanted to do was go home. To see everyone. To see Hunter.
I lay staring at the ceiling while Zamon slept beside me. Steve only had one spare room, but Zamon and I had been sharing a bed since we went on the run. But I just couldn't sleep.
Lights flashed through the curtains as cars drove past, and the alarm clock illuminated the time onto the wall. 2:47 am.
I groaned and rolled over, coming face to face with a wide eyed Zamon.
"Holy shit! I thought you were asleep. Jesus Christ almighty God. I think I just felt my soul leave my body." Zamon let out a deep sleepy chuckle.
We lay there, staring at each other for a couple minutes. I watched his eyes move around my face, and land on my lips. My breath hitched, and I quickly rolled onto my back so he wouldn't try anything. He groaned, then did the same.
"What are we gonna do Zamon?" I asked quietly, into the silent room.
"What do you mean? We're safe here, we dont need to do anything."
"I mean in the long run. We can't run forever. We'll either eventually get caught, or give up and surrender. I can't think of any other option."
I waited for his reply, but one didn't come. I turned my head to look at him staring at the ceiling.
"We shouldn't have ran." I said, my voice shaking. I wanted to cry. I was exhausted. All I wanted to do was go home and sleep in my own bed. To see everyone.
After a few more seconds, Zamon's sleepy voice carried to my ears. "I know. I know we shouldn't have."
Anger surged through me, but I stopped myself from lashing out.
Zamon began to speak again, but I slapped my hand over his mouth. Car brakes squeaked outside, and lights filtered through the curtains. More cars stopped outside the house, and Zamon jumped up in alarm. He peaked out the window, causing his face to drop.
We stared at each other solemnly until he gave me a small smile, "No more running."
He grabbed my hand, then we started to move through the house. My mind was running, thinking of everything and everyone. This meant I'd probably never see anyone I love, ever again.
Just as we reached the living room, a voice boomed.
"REBECCA ROBINSON. YOU ARE SURROUNDED. COME OUT WITH YOUR HANDS WHERE WE CAN SEE THEM. YOU'RE UNDER ARREST FOR THE MURDER OF A FEDERAL AGENT." My eyes widened in shock.
They didn't know Zamon was here. Before he could react, I grabbed a vase sitting on a little table, and swung it over his head. He fell to the floor unconscious, then I stepped outside.
