3 years. Hunter had been in jail for 3 years, 2 months and 7 hours. And today he was being released. His lawyer had managed to get his sentence down to self defense, after it was revealed, well, Hunter lied, that Benji had attacked Hunter in the ring, and Hunter had defended himself with a knife. The sentence was dropped to 8 years, with 5 with parole, but he managed 3 with good behavior.
I stared down over the balcony as Zamon fussed over the Welcome Home banner that hung above the stage. On the opposite wall another banner read Congratulations, which I found weird for the event but that was Zamon's sense of humor. Tonight we were throwing Hunter a party, and Zamon had been frazzled the whole day. He wanted everything just right. Zamon had visited Hunter over the years more then I had, which was nearly every month. They had mended they're relationship, and now recognized each other as brothers. It made my heart swell.
I nearly squealed with delight as I saw Holland and Keenan walk through the front doors. I loved my best friend, but it was the little girl that sat on her hip that caused my excitement. Little Telitha was the aftermath of their vacation to Italy 3 years ago.
I ran down the stairs as Holland placed her on the floor.
"Aunty Becca!" I grinned at her term for me. I'd hated it at first, but it was all she could say out of my name. Her little legs carried her towards me, her ginger hair and rosy cheeks the epitome of cuteness. I scooped her up into my arms and swung her around as she squealed. I rested her on my hip as I faced Holland and gave her a half hug.
"How have you been? How's your dad?" Holland and Keenan had moved into her old house a few months before Telitha was born.
"We've been great, and dads good too. He's been looking after my little rugrat a lot, helping me out and stuff." I smiled in appreciation. I placed the toddler back on the floor as we began setting up the tables. My eyes watched the time as 4 pm inched closer. That was the time he got out, and Orion had already left to pick him up.
People began to arrive at 5,and right on 5:23 Hunter walked through the doors. I was the first to greet him, tears in both our eyes. I was pushed out of the way by my oh so kind boyfriend, but I loved watching the 2 of them act like family.
"I need a beer, so let's get this party started!" Hunter hollered.

I stood in the doorway of my bathroom watching Holland put Telitha to sleep in my bed. I smiled as I watched the two, Telitha's eyes drooping as Holland whispered to her. My gaze drifted to the sink. I stayed that way for a few minutes, staring, so when Holland's gasp came from right next to me I nearly smacked her in the head with my can of coke. I glared at her, but her gaze was focused on what I had been staring at. She shoved me out of the way and picked the object up.
"Are you...?" She trailed off, hesitant.
"That's the 3rd one." I answered shortly, and took a swig of my coke. "And?!" She pressed, her eyes wide.
"They're all positive. I'm pregnant." The stick went flying through the air as she nearly tackled me. She was making this awkward half squeal half yelling noise, which was borderline deafening. I shushed her, and pointed to her own child currently sleeping. She pushed me back through the room and outside into the noisy hall.
"Have you told Zamon?" At her question, I peered over the balcony to where he stood with Hunter.
"No, I was planning to tell him tonight." She grinned like the Cheshire cat.
"What?" I frowned at her creepy smile.
"Nothing. Nothing at all." She cackled and began walking back down the stairs. I frowned and followed her.

I stood in front of the stage next to Hunter and Holland as Zamon prepared to make his speech. He'd rehearsed it to me during the day. It was basically him just telling Hunter how much he loved him. He smiled at me as the crowd became silent.
"Sorry to interrupt. I know how much you all want to keep drinking, but I just want to say thank you to Hunter. You sacrificed yourself for Rebecce, the gang and I, and we are forever in your debt. I'm so proud of how close we've become, and how we're a proper family. I love you, bro." he began to get choked up. And so did I.He pressed his fingers to his eyes before continuing.
"But even though tonight we're all here to celebrate your return, I also wanted to thank my amazing girlfriend." He turned to me as I laughed, wiping the tears off of my cheeks.
"We have been through so much together, and I'm so grateful that after 3 whole years, you finally gave me a chance." I laughed with the rest of the room as he paused and gave me a pointed look.
"I have loved you since the beginning, and I will love you for the rest of my life. So, without further adieu, Rebecca Robinson, will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?" I watched wide eyed as he bent down on one knee, and pulled a box from his pocket. I began to sob as he waited quietly with the rest of the crowd. I cried as I nodded my head yes.
The room filled with yells and cheers as he jumped off the stage and quickly pressed his lips to mine. I cried still even as he did that, and when he placed the beautiful pink diamond ring on my finger, I cried more.
He smiled as he pulled away, tears in his eyes as he laughed and pointed behind me.
"Finally understand the Congratulations banner?" my eyes widened as I smacked him over the shoulder, before pulling him in for another kiss.
"Since you got to make a huge announcement, I'm going to make a small one. To you." He stared at me as I took a deep breath. I bit my lip as his face grew worried.
"I'm pregnant."
