Hunter's Pov

I stared at my father's tombstone, next to where my mother lay beneath the soil, my sister on the other side of her. My eyes found the plot next to my dads, empty for when I would need it.

A light drizzle started, the overcast sky opening up and releasing it's tears. I pulled my head back, my eyes closed as the water lightly touched my face. My decision weighed my shoulders down, my nerves screamed at me to turn around and go home, to comfort Rebecca, to keep her for myself. But I couldn't. I wouldn't. I was trying to make her happy, and if this was the only way, then so be it. My thoughts drifted back to the day she'd found me in bed with another woman. The pain and hurt on her face still clear in my mind. It was one of the reasons why I was doing this.

I had nothing left in life, not really. Sure I had friends, but they weren't really my friends, they were Rebecca's, and even though I'd became apart of their lives, I didn't have a big place in them. My family was dead, other then Orion and Zamon, but it was still awkward coming to terms that we were half brothers. Another reason why I was doing this.

My anxiety skyrocketed as leaves crunched behind me, getting closer until a figure stood beside me. Neither of us spoke for a minute, not that I really knew what to say.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" I could see him turning towards me. I sighed before smiling at him.

"Yes, I am." He clucked his tongue, before murmuring something that sounded a lot like kids these days. I turned back to the graves, reading the words engraved on them, as I'd done a thousand times.

"I still can't believed you're doing this. All for a girl." I turned to him, taking in his slightly familiar features.

"I guess love makes you do stupid things."

Rebecca's Pov

We all stood around Jason's office, pondering over what we should do about Zamon. Hunter had been uncharacteristically quiet since we'd gotten here, and everytime I caught him looking at me he'd quickly look away.

"We can't get him without taking Tilly down, but if we do that we also have to get rid of Chad, and the rest of his gang. We can't just pick people off one by one, it'll be too dangerous and too hard. There's strength in numbers, so I think there's really only one option left." Jason announced, but didn't continue.

We all stared around the room at each other, none of us willing to entertain the thought of what would happen. After a few minutes, Hunter stood and walked to the door. Orion watched him go with sad eyes.

"Looks like we're going to war."

I stood at the top of the balcony with Jason and Jack. From where I stood, I could see Hunter and Orion arguing in the corner. Orion was red faced as he yelled at his nephew. Hunter pointed toward me and gripped onto Orion's shirt in desperation. I frowned and prepared to go down there, but Jason grabbed my arm before I could.

"I have an announcement to make." The full room hushed and looked up at their leader before he continued, "My son, Zamon, has been forced into a binding relationship with our enemy. He is engaged to the the daughter of The Shadow's gang leader. We have agreed that the wedding cannot happen. So, with a heavy heart, I inform you all, that we are going to war." Voices rose and fell as people shouted out questions. It was obvious that people were scared, and rightfully so. The Shadow's were an infamous gang, known for their stamina, speed and brutality. If the cause wasn't so close to my heart, I'd probably be scared too.

"I have sent the information to The Shadow's, I'm just waiting on a response. But we must be prepared. They could try to ambush us at any moment, so we must be ready. I will update you when I have more information. You are all dismissed." Jason's voice reverberated through the room. I followed him down the stairs and into the office.

"Are we going to be able to do this?" I asked, as I sat in front of him. The others dwindled in behind me. Jason raised his eyebrow at me.

"I'm just saying. Is one life worth hundreds of others?" It pained me to say, but just because the man I love was marrying someone else, didn't mean his life was priority over other people's. Jason's gaze flicked behind me. I turned to find Hunter and him having a staring contest.

"To me, yes, Zamon's life is worth hundreds, even thousands of others." I twisted back around at the conviction in his voice. His phone rang before I could open my mouth. He sighed before answering the call.

I could hear a few words being spoken by the other person, before he answered a simple ok before hanging up. His stared at each of us.

"We have 3 days." My eyes widened. That wasn't enough time to prepare.

"Where is this happening?" Hunter asked, his voice hard.

"At Town Square." My jaw dropped. "What?!Why?"

"Because it's open. It would have taken place at no man's land, but that's where there clubhouse is. So it's our only option. I'm going to go and assemble everyone and tell them. Hunter, come with me." I turned and watched them go, as everyone but Holland stayed. They were up-to something.

"Do you know what they're planning?" I asked as I stood. Holland frowned. "No, even Keenan doesn't know. I saw Hunter and Orion fighting before though." We walked out the door and towards the hall.

"So did I. Did you hear what they were saying?"

She thought for a second, "Not really, but I did hear Orion say that Hunter was throwing his life away."
