Running was becoming a speciality of mine. I quickly turned the corner, but my feet slipped out from under me. I hit the concrete hard, but managed to catch myself on my hands. I pulled myself up and kept sprinting, but I knew that slip cost me precious time. I didn't dare turn around to see where The Shadow member was. I turned the last corner, careful of my footing, and looked up. The clubhouse sat at the end of the street.

My breath rushed out of me as my right leg collapsed. I went down hard, once again hitting the cool concrete. Pain blossomed from my leg causing me to look down. Something that looked like a throwing star was buried in my calf. The blades were about twice as long as a normal one, maybe even longer. I looked up, trying to find the person in the cloak, but I couldn't see anyone, or anything. I ripped the star out, and threw it onto the grass.

I slowly stood up, wincing as I put too much pressure on my leg. I continued to face where I'd been running from, not wanting to put my back to the enemy, especially considering the amount of blood seeping out of my leg.

I took one look behind me, and realized there was still a fair distance until I reached the clubhouse. I glanced around again, searching for the ever elusive person.

"Fuck it." I whispered when I didn't see anything.

I turned around as quickly as possible, then started hopping my way down the street. Why the fuck was there no cars around?

I was about halfway there when I felt the familiar pain, this time on my left leg. I fell to my knees and groaned. I turned onto my back and looked up,  where a figure stood in a black cloak. Obviously from The Shadow's. He, well,  I was assuming it was a he from the build of his body, stared down at me. Not that I could see his face or anything. But his head was tilted down.

He didn't say anything, or do anything, just stared down at me. He cocked his head to the side, as if entertained. I was nervous while running, but now he was just standing over me, not saying anything, I was on edge.

"What?" I blurted out, then chastised myself. He ignored me, instead lifting his head as if hearing something I didn't. A second later a gun went off, and the dude in the cloak took off. I turned to see Hunter rushing over to me. I dropped back to the concrete, grateful.

"Becky? Are you okay? Shit, you're bleeding." He leant down and easily picked me up, mindful of the star still on my leg . He began to carry me back to the clubhouse. I laid my head against his chest, and looked up at him. Despite everything that's happened between us, I still love him.

"Thank you." I told him. He didn't say anything, just looked down and gave me a sad smile.

He somehow managed to open the door while still holding me, and took me inside. Zamon and Jack were in the kitchen, and rushed over as soon as we entered.

"What the fuck happened?!" Zamon yelled. Hunter ignored him and walked me over to a chair and sat me down. Zamon reiterated his question.

"A member of The Shadow's attacked me." Was all I said. Jack pulled out his phone.

"I'm calling a doctor."

The doctor had to stitch me up. He also said I need a wheelchair for at least 5 days, considering my muscle had been teared in both my calves. So now I'm immobile for the next few days.

Zamon had inspected the star, which was clearly made by The Shadow's. It had their symbol on it, and the blades were unique, never before seen. By now, the whole group was here, other than Holland. Zamon was seething, pacing the room, which reminded me.
"Also, Tilly asked me to tell you that she still loves you." Zamon froze, Jason's eyebrows rose, Jack scowled, and everyone else just looked confused. I knew that the real reason I told him was because I was mad at him, even though I had no right to be. My level of pettiness was aspiring.

"When did you see her?" Zamon spun around, his face set in an angry scowl. The others turned to look between us.

"When I dropped Holland off. I turned around and there she was, confessing her undying love for you." I crossed my arms over my chest. The tension was beginning to expand, and I figured I didn't need to make it worse. I turned to Hunter.

"Would you mind taking me to my room?" I watched Zamon tense out the corner of my eye. Hunter's eyes widened as he stuttered.

"Ah, yeah no, sure. I can do that." He awkwardly walked over to me and began pushing me away. I could do it by myself, but I kinda couldn't be bothered having to get out of the wheelchair and in to bed.

Hunter pushed me into my room and over to my bed. He gently picked me up and placed me down, and even pulled the blanket over me. He stood back up and scratched the back of his head as he stared down at me, while I stared up at him.

"Uh, goodnight."He muttered and turned away, but I grabbed a hold of his shirt and yanked him down. He was clearly surprised. I gently pressed my lips to his, then slowly pulled away.

"I just wanted to tell you I'm willing to give us another chance." I whisapered. He gave me a breathtaking smile, and gave me a peck on the lips. I noticed his eyes shining.

"I'm so sorry about what I did, and I have no excuse for it, but I love you Rebecca." He wrapped his arms around me, and layed next to me.

"I love you too." That's how we fell asleep.
