Hunter's Pov

Humans make noise. It is common knowledge. Noise is everywhere in our lives, from the bustling streets to the music blasting through your ear phones. But as we watched the TV in one of our motel rooms, it was almost silent. The news reporter was reading out the headline and article.

"In breaking news, Rebecca Robinson, the nineteen year old murderer, has been arrested in a suburban street in West Augusta, Maine tonight and appears to have handed herself over to federal agents. The young criminal killed CIA agent Benjamin Whatly, after discovering Benjamin had killed her parents in self-defense. It is believed that-"  Someone turned the TV off before the woman continued.

"Self defense?!" Keenan asked incredulously, then continued, "That was not self fucking defense! He murdered them in cold blood!."

"She gave herself up." I whispered to myself. Everyone turned to look at me.

"This was all for nothing. Her running. Her running with Zamon. Was all for nothing!." Anger burned through my veins. I began to pace the room. The others watched me seethed for a few minutes.

"Wait, where is Zamon?" Holland's quiet voice asked. We all stopped.

When the article aired, we'd been getting ready to raid the house she was staying at. We were about 20 minutes away, in the same suburb. We hadn't expected for her to run this long, we thought she would've come home. We had a safe house arranged for her, and Zamon knew that. But when they didn't show up at the meeting spot exactly 2 weeks after they left, we knew something was wrong. We'd tracked them ever since, but it was possible that they just couldn't get to the meeting spot. I guess I was just getting angrier and angrier the longer she spent with Zamon. He was in love with her, and I didn't know if his feelings had changed or not.

Keenan had been messing around with the TV just as we were walking out the door, until a picture of Rebecca flashed on the news.

"What are we gonna do? They have her now, it's not like we can storm into the head CIA office, and demand we have her back." Jack stated, attempting to walk closer before stopping, the pain in his leg too much. When we'd been rushing to get Becky out, he'd been shot in the knee, which had shattered on impact. He now had a metal knee, but it still caused him pain.

"Well, we could still go find Zamon?" It was Orion who spoke. For a moment we all just looked at each other, before we all hurried out the door, with Jack hobbling behind us.

We all jumped into the inconspicuous soccer mom car, with JJ and Ryan in the 2 trunk seats. I put the address, 75 Banneston drive, into the GPS, then sped off.

We walked into a blood bath. Blood was spattered up the entranceway of the house. It was silent, until I heard quiet groans coming from deeper in the house.

We followed the noise, stepping over a huge man, who could've been from 20 years up. It must've been his blood in the front of the house.

We found a bleeding woman kneeling over a very dead man, who looked slightly familiar. Zamon was sitting in the corner, one leg out in front of him and the other raised, with a bottle of Jack Daniels in his hand. He took a mouthful at the sight of us, raising an eyebrow.

"She's gone." Was all he said. The woman startled at the sound of his voice, then scuttled back against the wall at our imposing group.

"We know, it was on the news." Hollands nervous voice spoke up. But I just glared at Zamon, who returned the gesture.

Thoughts ran through my head, then I was racing across the room. My friends were shouting at me to stop. I hauled Zamon's drunk ass up, then through him against the wall. The bottle of Jack Daniels was long gone.

"This is all your fault!" I yelled in his face, pushing him again.

Zamon rolled his eyes, then shoved me back, "You think I just let her walk out there? She fucking KNOCKED ME OUT!, what was I supposed to do? Throw her over my shoulder and waltz out the back door? You know she's stubborn, there was nothing I could do."

I thought for a moment, then spoke again."You didn't do anything because you're still in love with her."

Zamon sneered at me, then smirked, "Yeah? Well your in love with her, so what would you do?"

He knew damn well I wouldn't of done anything. I sighed and shook my head, then stepped away.

"She'll confess. You know that, don't you? That's why your so worried." Zamons voice wasn't taunting, it was just matter of fact.

I nodded in answer. Holland's face fell, and we found ourselves, once again, just staring at each other. None of us knew what to do, if there was even something we could do.

The woman continued to sob in the corner. Zamon turned to her, suddenly angry. "Shut up. It's his fault. He snitched, he was a traitor." The woman wailed at his words. She looked between 35 to 40, and frail.

"Zamon, don't be an asshole. You just killed her husband, and what I assume is her son." Holland scalded, before gingerly walking over to the woman, who flinched before relaxing.

We listened to her calming words, as she spoke to the woman. A quiet crackle filtered through the room, and we all turned, confused. The sound continued, and JJ pulled his phone out of his pocket. He frowned and unlocked it.

He fiddled with it for a minute, before his eyes widened.

"JJ, are you there? JJ?."The whispering voice shocked as all. Zamon and I said the name at the same time.

"Rebecca?"

I'm so sorry it's taken so long to upload this chapter, but I'm struggling with the plot for this book, so I'm sort of just writing as I go. I hope to upload the next chapter soon.
