Rebecca's POV

We could finally go home. When the FBI released me yesterday, they gave me clearance to leave the state. So now we were in the cars, and we're nearly home. But is that what it really is? Is Fairview home? Home is where your heart is, sure, but my heart lays with my friends, so did I need a designated place to be home? I didn't have time to dwell on the though, as we pulled down the familiar streets. We were heading to the Blood Nomads clubhouse. We were all, other than Hunter, Orion, and maybe Ryan, familiar and comfortable there, so that was the destination.

The memories assaulted me when we finally pulled up to the building. Cars sparsely dotted the parking lot, as we began to slowly walk towards the door. Jason and Jack led the group, with me at the very back. I stopped abruptly at the solemn spot. Zamon, Keenan and Holland followed suit, with the others quickly realizing we werent following them.

I knelt down and placed my hand on the metal plaque that had his initials on it in a heart. I felt my eyes water. This was the very place Kyle had died. I stood up and made eye contact with Hunter, who looked guiltily at the plaque. I gave him a reassuring smile, which he returned. After a minute we continued inside. A few people lingered around, and once they spotted Jason, they quickly called to someone. A familiar burly looking man entered the big hall, and quickly greeted Jason. It was clearly who he and Zamon had left in charge. We soon found ourselves sitting at a long table at the front of the room.

He informed us that over a quarter of the gang didn't make it. He caught us all up, and then the even worse news came. Since Orion had passed the Silver Blades over to Adams gang, his gang had nearly double. But Adam was dead, so his gang was passed down onto his next in line\ second in the command. Which happened to be Masen. I'd killed his bitch of a girlfriend Angelica when the gang war went down because of me.

Apparently, Masen had been showing up for months, looking for Jason. He was getting more desperate each time he showed up, but he refused to speak to anyone other than Jason. No one knew why, but the man, whose name is Owen, said that there were rumors that another gang was here to take over the town. To turn it into a huge drug trafficking destination, among other things.

It was nearing night fall, and Jason acted quickly. Instead of letting Masen come to us, Jason decided to go to him. He left JJ, Ryan, Keenan, Holland, Orion and Hunter at the clubhouse. I assumed I'd stay as well, but Jason announced that I was still a trusted and valued member of his gang, despite the fact I'd changed gangs before. Which technically meet Hunter and I were officially members of the King Cobras, but ah well.

We decided to take an SUV, and after 2 minutes we were at Masen's clubhouse. We were quick to exist the car, and basically storm into the huge clubhouse. We clearly interrupted something. Masen and a man and a woman were standing on a raised dais in front of a room full of people. Zamon made a startled noise in his throat, and I turned to find him starting at the floor. I frowned and turned back to face Masen. I noticed a lot of familiar faces from the Silver Blades.

Masen stopped as soon as we entered. He quickly announced that the crowd were free to go, and rushed over to us with the man and woman. We met him halfway, and before he could even open his mouth, Jason's voice boomed throughout the room.

"What the fuck is going on?"

***
We sat in Masen's office on the third floor. 3 couches were positioned in front of a fireplace, with a coffee table in the center of them. Zamon and I sat on one couch, with Jack and Jason across from us, and Masen and the other two on our right on the third couch. I noticed the woman staring at me. She was pretty, blond hair, obviously not dyed, with ivory skin, and big blue eyes. Masen introduced her as Tilly, and the man's name was Grayson. Masen quickly got down to business.

"About a month after you all basically disappeared, a few of my members were found dead. They were mutilated and tortured, and the only clue left of who did it, were the black cloaks the bodies were dressed in." he paused. I noticed immediately that Jason, Jack and even Zamon tensed. I frowned and looked at them all.

"What?"I asked, confused. The girl, Tilly, sniggered at my question. I glared at her.

"The black cloaks are a signature, of one of the most powerful gangs in America, even maybe the northern hemisphere. They're called The Shadows. Which is basically what they are. We don't know there identities. They're quick and silent, and wear black cloaks so they blend in. We know basically nothing about them, which is how they work. So we did some digging, and found that no man's land was bought the week you left. We set up camera's, and all we found were moving Shadows. Until construction started, and a warehouse was built. I sent some men to scout out the building. Aparently all they found were shipping containers full of drugs, and schedules. One of them sent pictures as they were there. The men didn't return." He finished. Jason looked visibly sick. He put his head in his hands.

"We're fucked." He announced. Everyone clearly agreed.

I looked around at the others until I landed on Zamon. He was in the middle of a staring contest with Tilly. She noticed my gaze, and quickly looked away from him. I frowned.
