I stared at the screen of my laptop. As soon as we got back to the clubhouse, I pulled it out and started researching The Shadows. I wasn't surprised that I didn't find a lot on them, in fact you could probably find more about Holland on Google.

Speak of the devil and she shall appear. My door was open, and Holland quickly entered and sat across from me. It's been so long since i'd been in this room, sure I'd been staying here when we were looking for Hunter, but I had mostly stayed out in the big hall. But this room was my home.

I looked up at Holland as I closed my laptop. She had her bag on her shoulder.

"Wanna walk me to my dad's?" Her house was only about a five minute  around the corner. Her mom had fucked off with the dude she was cheating on her husband with. Apparently they now lived in France.

Sebastian was one of the fatalities on the night we went on the run, and that had been the final straw between her parents. Her mom had packed her bags and left basically as soon as they'd found out about their sons death. And while her mom grieved with her new fuck buddy, her dad was left by himself.

"Sure." I didn't ask why Keenan wouldn't, but I didn't mind. It gave us time to catch up. We left the clubhouse and stepped into the cool night. It was perfect. The stars were out, and I looked up as we began to walk.

"How are you and Keenan doing?" I asked as we exited the driveway, we were walking slow.

"We're great. It took a little while for us to warm back up to each other, but everything's back to normal now. We're closer then ever, actually." I turned to her and grinned.

"Have you two...?" I trailed off, her knowing exactly what I was asking. I noticed her pink cheeks as we walked under a street light.

"Actually, we have. I won't go into detail, but it was great. A little awkward, but I assumed it would be." I smiled at her. If she was happy, then so was I.

"Enough about me. How have you been dealing with this Hunter situation?" I sighed, and looked down.
"It hurts. I love him, but he cheated on me. At the same time, I can't help but feel responsible for him doing it. I accused him of killing Kyle. Now I know he didn't, but he also assumed I'd been doing stuff with Zamon while we were on the run. Which pissed me off, like I hadn't even gotten to that stage of the relationship with Hunter, and he just assumed I'd done that with Zamon?" I watched as Holland turned to look at me.

"So you and Hunter never had sex?" I shook my head. We stayed silent for a moment.

"Did you and Kyle?" Her voice lowered. I sighed.

"No. We both wanted to, but we always had other things on our minds. But he always made me feel like I could decide. He cared about whether I was ready or not." I smiled at my admission.

"So Zamon's the only person who you've been with?" at my nod, she continued, "So what's going on with you two?" I had to think for a minute.

"I don't really know. He's helped me through a lot of shit. I think I have feelings for him. Sure, Im not in love with him or anything, but we've had our moments. I just can't help but feel like I'm cheating on Hunter. I mean, we're not really anything right now, but we haven't officially broken up." Holland nodded.

"I think you should talk to him, maybe think about sorting things out. Or breaking things off and giving Zamon ago. You know he's in love with you. But it's up to you." I smiled at her. She always knew exactly what to say.

After a few more minutes we finally arrived at her house. Before Holland had even knocked on the door it flew open, and her dad wrapped his arms around her. It didn't take a genius to figure out he was crying. Hell, even I was starting to cry. He was the type of parent every kid wanted to have, sure he was a little strict, but he loved his children so much. He was like a dad to me. I felt like I was interrupting, so I quietly backed away and left.

After a few minutes,  I noticed someone walking towards me. I frowned as I realized it was Tilly, the girl in Masen's gang.

"Hey, it's Rebecca, right?" I nodded, still confused.

"I can tell your really confused, so I'm going to assume that he didn't tell you about me?"She asked, it sounded rhetorical.

"Who?"She gave me a wicked smile.

"Zamon."My frown deepened,  and before I could open my mouth, she continued.

"You see, we were each others first loves. The only reason things ended was because I had to move across the country. I was wondering if you could give him a message for me?" I was too shocked to say anything so I nodded,
"Just tell him I still love him." she disappeared before I could even react. That was just plain weird. I turned around to see if I could see her, but she had literally disappeared.

When I turned back around I frowned. All the street lights on both sides were suddenly off. I looked around, and slowly started walking again. I was just over halfway home. I saw the alley way that would cut the rest of the distance in half, but one look down the black strip kept me walking. After a few seconds, I heard something behind me, I swung around, but saw nothing. I realized that I had nothing on me, no weapons, and I don't have a phone. I quickly turned back around but not before I saw a swish of a black cloak. That was enough to send me running.
