"Lauren?" Crow asked.

She raised an eyebrow "Who were you expecting? Batman?" Everyone just stared at her for a moment. I could see her grow annoyed as she began to scowl. "I don't have long before that bitch takes back control" she said.

"What do you mean?" I questioned. Takes back control?

She rolled her eyes "I mean that she's still stronger than me" She frowned "Or she's the stronger version of me. At the moment.  That is where you guys come in. Lily is the version of me that would have been if I had become an angel when I died 128 years ago. Turns out that daddy dearest didn't find me wandering the streets of Hell after all. No, he picked me up out of Heaven and dragged me down to the fire below. Lauren is the demon, Lily is the angel. Got it?"

I frowned and shook my head "No" I muttered.

She shook her head "You need a new tactic. She isn't going to fall head over heels with you. Right now she's shit scared of you" she laughed "Try something else"

Her eyes glassed over and then she jerked slightly "And that is my time up. Please don't fuck this up. Oh! Make sure I don't die!" She shouted just before she face-planted into the table.

I stared at her for a second and then Henry poked her slightly. She sat up and looked around. "What happened?" She asked.

"You passed out. But it's going to be okay now" I muttered. "But I'm going home. Fuck this"

Crow laughed "I'll join you" he turned to Maia "Make sure she's at our apartment right after school. If she's late I'll kill you and torture you in Hell"

The worst part about that. Was that he laughed through the entirety of the threat. "You're an asshole" I chuckled and he shrugged.

"What are you doing?" Lily asked in a sickly sweet sing-song voice. Maia had got her home 5 minutes before school ended, in fear of Crow.

I groaned "Trying to sleep. Now get to fuck"

She whined "But I'm bored" Oh yeah. And she wasn't scared of us anymore. She had 'forgiven' us.

"Go play with Crow" I muttered and rolled away from her. I really needed a nap. 

She groaned "I tried but he told me to go away"

I laughed "What did he really say?"

"Can I paraphrase?" She asked meekly. I shook my head and she sighed. "HesaidifIdidntleavehedshovehisfootsofarupmyasdidtastetherubbersoleofhisshoeinmymouth" she said quickly.

I chuckled "I thought he would have said worse"

She nodded "He has. I just choose to ignore him. I told him that bullies are normally just insecure people"

I smirked "How did he respond to that?"

"He threatened to gouge out my eyeballs with a fork" She giggled. "I then asked him if that was so I couldn't see his insecurities. Then he locked me in the freezer with all those hearts and blood lollies"

"So that's where you've been" I closed my eyes and hoped that she's shut up.

I heard her adjust her position sitting on the bed. "It was cold"

"No shit" I muttered. "It's a freezer"

"Don't swear. It's bad" she scolded. "You're not a bad person Ryan. I know that. Not like your brother. Special. You need to stay away from her. She's toxic. She destroys everything she touches. Don't let that be you she destroys"

I sat up and frowned  "Who?"

She just smiled "I didn't say a name but yet she popped into your head didn't she. Make the right choice Ryan Jacobs" and then she left.
