Sasunaru - The scorpion king

Chapter 8

Sasuke sighed and ran after him. He managed to catch up to Naruto, he grabbed his wrists. Naruto struggled against his hold, trying to get himself free from the iron grip. "Let me go!" He screamed at the black headed man's face, still struggling against his hold. "Hn." Naruto growled. "I've been prisoner to that vile man ever since I was young. I will not allow myself to be prisoner to another man."

Sasuke loosened his grip at this, but before Naruto could take advantage to this, he held onto him once again. "In that case, why don't you come with me? You'll be safer in Suna." Naruto snorted and eyed the raven headed man suspiciously. "I was told never to speak or go anywhere with strangers." "And yet here you are, speaking to one." Sasuke shot back.

"Just trust me. You will be safe in Suna." Naruto gave Sasuke a sceptically look. "I must head back to Suna to free my friends." "And you will. After the war, they will be free, that I promise you. All you have to do is be away from Orochimaru, without you, his vulnerable. Which will give us the upper hand to end this war. Just trust me."

Naruto nodded numbly. He was about to say something when his eye colour turned white. "What's going on with him?" Asked Suigetsu. Naruto gripped on Sasuke's hand hardened and he gasped for air as his eye colour turned back to normal and sweat flowing down his face. "W-we... must go... now. The most dangerous people I know are coming for me now." Naruto panted out his words.

"Did he just say dangerous people? Sasuke get rid of him." Suigetsu panicked. "I don't want to die. I'm too young and handsome to die. Look at me! You'll never find another person as good looking as me." Sasuke rolled his eyes. "We can't hide in that cave close by. They might look for you in there."

"You're planning to keep him?" Suigetsu screeched. "Sasuke, there are plenty of fish in the sea. Just give this one back and all wi-" Sasuke growled in annoyance. "Shut up!" Suigetsu raised his hand to his lips and made a motion that looked like he was sealing his lips. Sasuke sighed. "I'm going to go to the cave and take them down. If I'm not out in thirty minutes, leave and take cover from the storm." With that Sasuke was gone.

"Search the cave they could be in there with the sand storm coming up, I doubt they go any further." Said Sakon. The soldiers split looking around for any form of life. Six guards found themselves in the same area. "Hmm, our roots must have led us to the same direct." One soldier mused. "Yeah, I guess none of us found them hu?" The other soldiers shook their heads. "Let's keep looking." They continued their search, when suddenly one of them fell to the ground and blood pooled around the body on the sand.

"Stand your ground." One of the soldiers growled. Sasuke hid in the shadow and took them out one by one. The last soldier's head rolled off on the sand in front of five people's feet. One of them clapped their hands and laughed as if the most entertaining thing just happened.

"So this is the great Sasuke Uchiha." Sakon mocked with a smirk on his face. "Why don't you show yourself and lets play." Said Kidomaru. Sasuke stepped out of the shadows and stood a little far from the five people in front of him. "It's a shame that something so beautiful must go to waste." Said Tayuya.

Sasuke smirked. "You must be Orochimaru's pet. I must say he insults me with soldiers so weak." Jirobo snarled. "Do you mind wanting to repeat that up close." He growled and Sasuke smirked. "Where is the sorcerer, Uchiha?" Asked Ukon. "Somewhere you'll never find him." Replied Sasuke.

Jirobo charged toward the Uchiha and began their fight. Other's followed suit as to try and corner the Uchiha. The fight was long and blood and Sasuke decided he has had enough playing around. Not even thinking twice about it, Sasuke knocked out the nearest guy – which was Kidomaru – by slamming his head against the cave wall, not even giving him a chance to look around.

Delight to hear a crack, revelling in the pain he was causing in the pathetic excuse of a soldier now on the ground for him. He wanted to do nothing more than rip apart the men, taking his sword and piercing him from the back to the heart.

Sasuke grabbed Ukon by the throat, knocked his breath out of him by driving his knee straight into the guy's guts and finished it off by knocking him off his feet, so that his head banged against the cave wall. His eyes rolled back and he slumped forwards on the ground unconscious; the back of his head matted with his own blood. Sasuke grabbed a dagger and slit his throat. Tayuya came rushing forwards with a dagger in her hand and a maniacal look in her eyes; her mouth twisted in rage.

Sasuke deftly avoided the dagger, grabbed the girl's arm and used the momentum of her running to bang her against the wall, pulling back the hand holding the dagger until the girl screamed in pain and had to release the knife. It thud softly on the ground and Sasuke kicked it away with a grim face, continuing to pull the girl's hand back until a dry 'knack' resounded through the air, signalling that he had broken the bone. The girl screamed in pain, but before his attacker could turn around, he gripped her long hair pink-reddish and smashed her head against the cave wall, breaking her nose and knocking her unconscious at the same time. Sasuke grabbed the fallen dagger and shoved it through the girl's chest.

Sasuke had narrowly dogged Jirobo's attack. Sasuke kicked at the man's hand which had the sword. He pulled out a rope and ran behind Jirobo, pulling the rope around the man's neck. Sasuke sensed someone behind him and quickly turned himself and Jirobo- who was still struggling against the rope around his neck- causing man that was behind him to pierce his sword through Jirobo's chest. Sasuke let go of the rope, letting the man fall to the ground.

When he turned around to deal with the last man, his eyes fell on Sakon. The man stood confidently with a sword and poisoned dagger in both hands. Sasuke harshly pulled out the dagger on Tayuya's chest, stood up slowly and drawled his sword. His mid night eyes never leave the last man's form, they circled each other waiting to see who would attack first. The Sakon smirked and he launched himself at Sasuke. Sasuke dogged each attack as best as he could while still studying the other man's skills. Not managing to miss the dagger, Sakon managed to cut Sasuke on the arm with the poisoned dagger. Sasuke hissed and quickly cut of the hand holding the dagger, the Sakon screamed in pain and Sasuke not giving him any chances, he pierced his sword through the Sakon's neck.

Sasuke pulled out his sword from Sakon's neck, he wiped his sword on Sakon's clothes. "See you in hell." Was the last word Sakon said before he died with a smirk on his face. Sasuke left the cave to look for Naruto and Suigetsu. Not knowing that the dagger that Sakon used had poison on it and that the scorpion's poison has started to take its course.
