'Tell my little brother I said hi and to take care.'
Sasuke opened his eyes, revealing his wide mid-night eyes as he gasped and quickly sat up. He placed hand on his chest feeling the quick pace of his beating heart. He greedily suck in air while trying to compose himself. Sweat on his forehead having its own race to get to his chin.
He blinked a couple of times as his heart began to beat in a normal pace and his breathing beginning to level. He looked around and noticed that it was still dark. He laid back down and wiped the sweat on his face. He heard some shuffling beside him and light began to glow in the dark room.
Naruto hovered above him, his long bright blond hair falling to his side like a curtain, hiding both their faces from one side of the room. Naruto blinked his sky blue eyes and gently smiled at Sasuke. "Bad dream?" He asked softly, as if trying not to wake up the rest of the world. For a moment Sasuke saw a little Naruto, laughing happily without a care in the world.
But the image was gone as quickly as it came. Sasuke blinked a few times as he stared into the warm blue pools of Naruto's eyes. "No." Sasuke answered with a raspy voice as he turned his head to the side, he watched the wax slowly drip from the candle while the fire melted its surroundings away. "I saw Itachi and your brother."
"M-my brother?" Sasuke turned his face to meet with Naruto's wide. "Yes your brother." Sasuke propped himself up a little, leaving the distance between their faces two meters away and a light blush to cover Naruto's tanned cheeks. "He explained to me why we can't remember each other so well. He said he was just trying to protect us... something about you and I ending Orochimaru's treachery upon our land." Sasuke cast his black eyes to the side and tried to recall what happened in his dream.
Naruto blinked and tried to cool down the heat that was rushing to his cheeks. "He said would return our memories back, but it's going to take time." Sasuke continued and he looked back into Naruto's sky blue eyes. "He also said 'Hi'" Sasuke averted his eyes from Naruto again, not wanting to tell him about the threat Kurama left dangling in the air above his head.
He thought about it and shuddered, 'What am I so worried about? It's not like Naruto and I are going to be together romantically...right?' "...To make it quicker." Sasuke quickly snapped his eyes back at Naruto. He blinked owlishly a couple of time. "My apologies, what was that?" Naruto sighed. "I said, I might know a way to gain our memories quicker. Since now Kurama has broken the spell." Sasuke thought about it for a moment.
"If Kurama knew magic, why wasn't he captured like you?" Sasuke curiously gazed at Naruto. Naruto shifted back and cast his eyes on his lap. "Kurama was not born with magic like me. Sure my clan was the only clan that could cast spells, but there could only be one sorcerer or sorcerers and it just so happen to be me." Naruto said the last past bitterly.
"If had control over my powers that time, my family would still be alive." Sasuke cupped Naruto's cheeks and looked deep into his eye. "Hay, you were just so young, you wouldn't have been able to help." "They must hate me." "They love you." Naruto shut his eyes tight. "How do you know? If I wasn't born with these stupid powers, I would have been no use to Orochimaru. I would never have to see my family and friends die in front of me. They would've-"
