Chapter 21

Naruto breathed in and out as he focused on bringing Neji back. He mumbled a few word and Neji reappeared. Neji slowly opened his eyes as he looked around in confusion. "Where am I?" He asked. Hinata gasped with tears in her eyes, a smile on her face and her hand linked together above her chest.

She hurriedly rushed over to Neji and wrapped her arms around his neck, holding him in a warm embrace. "You're okay, you're okay." She cried out as she cupped his cheeks and kissed his forehead. She then turned towards an exhausted Naruto and she pulled him in a hug.

"Thank you so much, Naruto. How can I ever repay you?" She cried on his shoulder. Naruto chuckled. "You don't need to repay me. His family too, you know." Naruto stated with a weak smile. Hinata nod her head and guided Naruto to a chair.

"Kiba, please go get some water for Naruto and Neji." She asked her boyfriend, who nodded and walked out the door to go do what he was told.

Twelve people sat around the table discussing matters on war, amongst them was Gaara, Sasuke, Shikamaru and Kakashi. Gaara listened careful to what Sasuke, Shikamaru and Kakashi had to say.

He had taken them to a sunlit room which houses the meeting room, there were statues of all previous kings of Suna including the current one. "Are you sure you want to use that method?" He asked his green eyes staring straight at Sasuke. "Hn. Orochimaru is weak without Naruto, so if we strike while we still have a chance we could end the war. Plus, we have a bigger advantage since we have people who knows the ins and outs of his palace." He stated calmly, his eyes held no emotions as he spoke.

"I think we should Naruto as bait. Orochimaru wants him back doesn't he?" Said Kakashi. Sasuke snarled. "We're not using Naruto as bait that would be too risky. Besides I don't think that Naruto should be a part of this of this war. If we lose, Orochimaru will have Naruto back in his clutches."

He stated sharply, eying Kakashi as if he was the craziest man to ever work on earth. "I agree with Sasuke, it wouldn't be wise to use Naruto, let alone let him fight alongside with us. Don't get me wrong, Naruto is very strong. But what would happen if the odds were against us?" Shikamaru sighed and mumble 'troublesome' under his breath.

One by one people voiced their opinions about the war. "Naturally it will take us about a couple of months to prepare our men for war, but what if we could try to speed up the preparations the war in two weeks?" Said Gaara. "Make it three days and I'd be impressed." Challenged Sasuke. "You'd be surprised!" Was all Gaara said before he dismissed the people in the meeting room.

"What do you mean I must sit out this war?" Screamed a furious Naruto. Sasuke sighed as he gazed at Naruto with a blank look. "We mean, you stay here and away from Orochimaru. Now which part do you not understand, so I can explain it to you in a much slower term?" Sasuke felt annoyed and a headache coming up.

Naruto scowled. "But I could help." He growled, placed his hands on his hips and glaring up to Sasuke. "And you can help by staying away from this fight." Sasuke stared down at Naruto as if daring him to say another word, but Naruto just ignored his warning and continued talking. "This is my fight too. I don't want anybody fighting for my part of the battle and I'm not some defenceless little boy. That man took a lot from me."

Naruto screamed. "You're not going to be a part of this fight Naruto and that's final." Sasuke stated sternly. Naruto huffed, pushing Sasuke's shoulder harshly as he walked out the room.
