Our story starts when I was at church playing my best friend, Emet, in ping pong. Ryan came up and claimed next game against the winner. After about two minutes of back and forth I finally beet him. Ryan stepped up to take Emet's spot. "What are we playing to?" I asked. "I dono" he replied. "First to 12? Win by 2?" I suggested. "Sure but, you sure that ain't to high for you?" He jokingly asked. I rolled my eyes. "Ok you serve" I said tossing him the ball. He took it and served the ball. The ball when back and forth between me and him for about a minute before I realized he was taking it easy on me. "Quit taking it easy. Play like a man." I said. Then, as I was distracted by my own words he hit the ball so hard their was no chance I could of hit it. "Better?" He aske, "Much" I replied. The game took a lot longer than expected and we where almost late late to youth. As we walked in I realized I didn't have my bible and when Ryan saw this he said "You can come sit by me and we can share mine, I mean it's least I can do after schooling you 12 to 3 in ping pong." I nodded my haed, smiled and said "Yea, and you get bet money that I'll beat you in the rematch after church." He laughed and said "In your dreams." We found two seats on the front row just as our youth pastor Jason started the video to start church. As the video finished Jason said we'd be discussing what love meant today and I glanced over at Ryan, he was blushing. We discuss and read a few verses that showed what love meant, and the differences in the types of love. Right before we ended with prayer Jason read one last verse that really caught my and Ryan's attention. 1 Corinthians 13:7, "Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful and endures every circumstance." We mouthed the words as Jason read them aloud. Little did we know how much meaning this verse would have in our near futures.
